    i think if you're willing to buy from an independent shop or straight from the band, there's no problem in buying your own gear. making it is just as good, though.

    one easy way of doing patches is stenciles and spray paint. If you steal some good spray paint you can even wash your patches and they will still look good. My band did T-shirts and patches that way. And for material we dumpstered some sheets from a hotel dumpster, and we accidently dumpstered Red Lobster's Dirty Laundry from what we thought was a normal dumpster (those table cloths and napkins made awesome patch material.

    Hey Ungovernable: I love your art! Would you consider doing album art for me sometime? I unfortunately am not the greatest artist.
