    hey anyone know any anarcho-punk love songs? I just moved from Indiana to Metro East St Louis of Illinois, and my girlfriend, a vegetarian anarchist, moved from Virgina to Indiana just recently. I just want to send her some love songs as attachments to her email :) and please, no "Baby, I'm An Anarchist" by Against Me! lol

    Now this is an interesting question. In a way punk has always been almost devoid of love songs. I guess these were always associated with meaningless pop tunes, even though i think there is nothing wrong with an honest love song. In a way Conflict's A message to who might be considered a love song even if it's written from a point of view that mostly resembles a parent.

    I'm constantly trying to think of a band like Zounds or Mob, but as far as I can remember they have no love songs. I guess anarcho punk is more "Love is not your parent's lies"...

    Also, maybe not important to anyone but Buzzcocks - Ever fallen in love will forever stay the ultimate love song for me...

    I sent her "Only Anarchsits Are Pretty" by World Inferno Friendship Society. plus, there are TONS of anarcho-punk albums about "Love, Peace and Anarchy" (just search the downloads for 'Love' and you'll see what I mean), but I think I'd have to rummage through my library of anarcho-punk at a time when I'm not working. Thanks anyways, though, bananaman!

    "I'm in love with Margaret Thatcher" by the Notsensibles is actually an hilarious "love song". Apart from this I'd suggest "Make my tea" and "She's a right sort" by Hard Skin in the comedy department as well.
    More seriously the song "Love" by A//Solution talks about the feeling as empathy more than a Hugh Grant type of romance but it fits the category.
