It's just not practical. It will push the public to more authoritarian leaders who won't let such things happen. Violence in and of itself will not change anything. You have to change minds first. Dead CEOs would be satisfying to a few people but terrifying to most. In order to change the system, you must attack the system, not those who gain by it. They won't give up their money because you killed some of them. You need a massive movement against the system. The individual that you kill will always be replaced by another.

Regardless of the fact that you're placing yourself in judgment of a whole group of people, whether it's justified or not isn't nearly as important as whether it is effective or not. Such an act would be a declaration of war with the system. And let me tell you, it's not a war that anarchists could win right now.[/quote]

all people should own weapons, so we don't need to break military objects in the time of revolution \m/

I am agreed with Instanbul, about rage against riches and politicians, and of course, individuals, and groups, must have their autonomy to decide what methods of fight they will use against present system and the top people of that system.
I am agreed with Rabbit that armed fight against ruling class is impossible to win in present situation, but as I said, some groups can decide to attack already now, it is their choice.

I agree, change their minds, THEN kill CEO's. And honestly, here in America anyways, killing ceos of banks wouldnt be looked down upon by a lot of people. Id like to change the minds of everyone who classifies ALF/ELF members as terrorists, which is pretty much anyone outside of anarcho-punk in general or animal and earth activism, and yes there are exceptions to the rule. But they dont even do anything against anyone, and they are already feared by the public. So to wait around to change the publics mind is a pipe dream. Thats why they do it anyways. I understand that killing people is violent or what not. But to have people say thats not a good idea, but you know eat meat, litter, lie, cheat steal, is just hypocritical.

Personally I've been imprisoned several times for weapons, 6 months for Nanchaku posession, 2 years for two unloaded pistols, 1 year for prohibited ammo. I won't be caught again because I've changed my methods of resistance and I would warn anyone involved with Anarchism to be very careful in your choices. Not sure but in California, posession of any martial arts weapons is considered the same as a gun and carries the same penalties.

Man they, wouldn't want to see my bedroom, that's for sure... anyway, basically if a weapon is under a specified length and over a specified age it counts as an antique and not a weapon in Holland, hell I seem to be blessed here (counts for cutting weapons btw, not guns)

I always have a ball-point pen on me...it is good if I need to write things down as well as shivving somebody if I need to for self-defence purposes.

Steel toed boots are a plus...like baseball bats for my feet.

I used to carry a fold out blade when I was a bit younger but thought it would land me in too much trouble because I had a short fuse but ye...I have my knives at home and a trolley-pole, for those who do not know what that is, it's like and iron/steel bar that holds shopping trolleys together...they hurt like a bitch and they are hollow so u can fill them with sand and seal them and make it nastier...

As far as I'm concerned, no good has came out of the barrel of a gun EVER. But I don't think they should be outlawed because that's one less civil liberity and one more reason to give a cop to beat the shit out of an innocent civilian.. I would never own a gun, but I wouldn't mind a small weapon for self-defence, say, a pocket knife or something. It's dangerous out there..

If you ever have to carry a knife may I suggest you carry an M-tech fold out blade, they lock once they are unfolded and you won't have them closed over your hand in a fight unlike a Swiss Army knife.

If you are really game then there is the option of a fixed blade but they need to be in a sheath.

Also...the reason I don't carry them is because I find that I would have grounds/temptation to use it or pull it out, its not like carrying keys in your pocket or your phone, its a fucking knife... o_O

Yeah, I hear you. Tempers flair, you lose your head and do something you might regret for the rest of your life. And that would be very unfortunate for me since i'm so young.

i have to wonder with weapons, and don't misinterpret this as a pacifist statement, because i am not one, and i am willing to use weapons, but if we do arm ourselves and use weapons, does that make us no better then those who oppose us?

Lunadimae wrote (taken from guns and anarchist society)
As Ungovernable pointed out, there are more guns than cars, they cannot be secluded into a storage room, white supremacists would still be able to get their hands on weapons, and if they were secluded into storage rooms then I can predict raids and theft of those guns. I still maintain that a militia must stay, we cannot know when any exiles, opponents, or even a ruler to-be attacks. Guns are needed for defense and security from any who seek to thwart the society.
Yep, not everyone is going to be with us. We need guns for defense in the event that our society is attacked. While I would love a society that is completely peaceful, I know that won't be the case(hopefully one day though) and that we can't just sit down and have a heart to heart conversation with certain opponents.
