Have you heard about the Darknet?
I did and I decided to investigate. The Darknet, also called the Deep Web, Hidden Web or Onionland is a hidden portion of the web, which you can't access with your regular browser.
    Check out this video

So I went to the tor project website and downloaded TOR and checked out the deep web. Actually I immediately felt like in that Stallone movie "Demolition Man"
Supposedly you can buy drugs, forgeries, paypal accounts, credit cards and even contract killers for bitcoins. There are even sick fucks uploading child porn. :o

Although the Darknet is not just about that, there are hacktivist groups, anarchist sites, forums and blogs. I think the Darknet could be used to coordinate direct actions.
I found this nice article which sounds quite anarchist. So what do you think?
    Matrix

Of course without Tor you can't open the second link. :D

I'd be greatful if you could put some links of these 'hacktivist groups, anarchist sites, forums and blogs' so I can check them out. I've heard of Tor long time ago, but I haven't found anything useful other than drug-dealing-shit there.

    So far I have found:

Code:Green - Hacktivism for a better world. This is a anarchist hacktivist group focusing on digital direct action. They have a nice forum too.
    http://pyl7a4ccwgpxm6rd.onion/w/index.php/Main_Page

The Anarchism Library - A collection of Anarchist literature can be found here. Basically a library for Anarchists
    http://4zeottxi5qmnnjhd.onion/

Intel Exchange - Not exactly a strictly anarchist site, but it's a nice forum.
    http://rrcc5uuudhh4oz3c.onion/

These are the all I found. I think there are more, but searching the Darknet is a bit difficult. No google there, only some basic search engines and link directories.
I actually like the Darknet experience. It reminds me of the internet back in the 90s - no ads, no fancy graphics, pure internet. :D

Edit: Oh and if you want to explore the darknet, please read this, so you can stay maximally secure. In the Tor browser than disable all scripts globally, there is an exploit in JavaScript, that can locate you even if you are using Tor.

Please remember that if you decide to install TOR on to your computer, you will automatically be put on a government watch list. Proceed with CAUTION!

Yeah, but this site is basically for political discussion, music sharing, and topics of interest. Sure, this is a site of rebels who hold left wing politics for the most part, are rather anti-authoritarian, fight for social justice and racial equality, and, at times might advocate civil disobedience, and direct action in getting their point across, but, when you take in the fact that there is a banner to the left of your screen that has options to share on Facebook, Twitter, Pintrest, etc. everything is above board, and is no immediate discernable threat. From what I have been told, the dark web is a place where one can hire hit men, buy drugs, hack into bank accounts, join terrorist cells, and lots of very nasty things that I hesitate to discuss here. (Or so I've been told) Lets not forget what happened to Jer Bear.

Thanks for bringing everything into proper perspective. I tend to react to things, like trump saying he is considering declaring Antifa a terrorist organization. It may be a stretch, but we
could be viewed as guilty by association. until I see otherwise, I will respectfully defer to your
wise counsel. Thanks much, aint ashamed

would like to follow up / clarify, that if I was perceived as being in league with, or associated
with Antifa...It would be my badge of honor. Praise to the brethren!

Your point is also well taken. Guilt by association is, in many ways, akin to McCarthyism, so I understand why you would react in such a way.

I hope I'm not opening a can of worms here, but, while I support what the Antifa movement stands for, in many ways, certain individuals involved have done certain things that put the whole movement in a bad light. I certainly understand the anger that have lead these individuals to do the things they did, and can even support their reasons why, but to those who are not involved, or are just ignorant, this could come across as forms of mindless destruction, and the Donald Trumps of the world will use this as an excuse to label them "Terrorists". If the Antifa movement is to be effective in any way, it is to find a way to inform and educate, people in a way that does not come across as "Propagndistic' and realize that we ALL have a stake in fighting to make a better world for ALL of us to live in, and one of the main things that needs to be done is to effectively demonstrate WHY racism, and fascism is wrong, and the suffering and destruction that it causes. I hope I'm not coming across as critical in any way, but I think even Conflict eventually realized that, after a while, smashing up butcher shops didn't stop the slaughter of animals, convert carnivores into vegetarians, educate people why eating meat is bad, from treatment of animals to health issues, and basically just made butchers angry and drove up the price of meat.

As I said, I hope I'm not coming across as critical, but there's always room for improvement. Education is always the key, and the best place to begin.

Thank you! You it laid it out perfectly! Antifa is righteous at it's core, but if they become targeted
because of someones misstep here or there, even if justified by self defense. The mega-lying
spin machine can create quite the challenge. It seems like the age old war of good vs. evil is
still raging. Thanks again aint ashamed

You are quite welcome. I appreciate the fact that you understand what I'm trying to communicate, and where I'm coming from. Your last response brings to mind the chorus of MDC's I Remember: In the U.S.A. You gotta take a stand if you plan on staying free. They call this the land of the living, but they're trying to make a dead man out of me!
