a buddy of mine killed himself last week.i am not sure what to think of it since his reason was simply(stated on his myspace)" we have raped our world for all its worth and made sure to destroy it bit by bit fighting for and unknown caus, i cant bear to live in a world so corrupt anymore, now days people are more worried about who has the biggest bombs and stronger army to give a fuck about the starveing population anymore. why do you fight for this shity place called america? why do you kill people who dont derserve to die?

i cant say i blame him much, i agreed with his belifes to an extent but i never thought he would take it to the next level :( i cant get over it. he was my best friend

I'm really sorry about your loss.
I don't know what you're looking for with this post... but Im just going to say maybe he wasn't the type of person who could put other people's misery in the back of his mind. Not saying it should be ignored, but there is a difference between recognizing it/ fighting to change it/ letting it consume your life. If all you thought about all day was how horrible the world was and the starving ethiopians and the avoidable wars and innocent people being killed, then I would imagine you'd be pretty depressed. I didn't know your friend, obviously, but that is just a thought.

I agree with KnockItBack, it's good to worry about all the horrible stuff happening around the world, however we can't let that consume us or else that's just letting them win... Still I'm sorry for your loss and hope the pain diminishes in the next days.

Man that sucks, sorry for your loss and his families :(

It's so easy to get consumed by despair but we have to remember nothing is going to change if we don't continue to fight. An activist who is alive is much more effective than one who is dead.

first if all, im sorry for your loss, second, i think if u make points about how horrible the world is, and u do nothing to try and fix it, and think ending your life is the solution, then you are a coward. (or maybe misguided.) Taking your own life after identifying a problem but doing nothing to try and fix it makes you look like you just didn't care, and passed said problem on to others.

Wow Anxiety69 that is incredibly insensitive, did you ever stop to think that there are people in this world with Clinical Depression that can't help but feel the weight of the world on their shoulders and need to be treated and counseled in order to avoid harming themselves? So they're cowards? Hijole I think you got that one all twisted, que no?

(F)Axegrinder(E) please take your sorrow and put it to a positive use, Anger Defuses Despair, And nothing defuses Anger like Direct Action. Do it and think of your friend while you do.......
