I'm Feyza and I'm from Turkey. I'm 17. I'm going to be a senior at high school after summer break. I'm an agnostic atheist. I'm also bi. Anyway, to be honest with you I'm kind of new to this "punk community". I've been trying to figure out who I am since my early teenage years and I realized I've a lot in common with punk subculture. I found this website while I was searching through stuff about punk. I've been into "punk" for a few years now but I still am learning the culture since there aren't many places for me to go(beacause of the city I'm living in) and hang out with other "punks". I know some people don't like people who're new to this culture but I hope it won't happen to me on this website because I'm keen on learning the culture and making new friends who share similar ideas with me. I'd share my political ideas but it'd take too much time because I have this utopia(-ish) thing in my mind so I'm not just supporting a certain ideology (I guess it's because I'm kind of against ideologies). And about my hobbies, well, music is literally my life. I mean I listen to music almost 24/7. I can listen to any kind of music as long as it has some good lyrics but I usually prefer listening to alternative rock, any type of punk, grunge and any type of metal (we can say I listen to rock in general). I love reading. I don't think I read as much as I want to but books are really important to me. I usually prefer reading some classics and poetry but I sometimes read sci-fi and fantasy too. I rarely check out the new published books and best sellers because most of them are ridiculously fucked up. I'm also interested in philosophy and I guess I want to have a major in philosophy if I go to college. I sometimes draw too but I don't think I'm really good at it. I kind of know how to play guitar but who doesn't? Well I guess that was too long so thank you if you read it. By the way, if anyone can tell me where to find fanzines(online and/or in Turkey), it'd be great. And to be honest, I hope I won't be the outsider just because I'm new.
