Yup, A big thanks microsoft... They knew about this defect and have refused to fix it. (they did extend their warranties, hopefully u still have yours) but it still is costing the consumer money to send it in to get fixed. And there is no gurantee it won't happen again...

My xbox live gamertag is Lamar Vannoy

But i have to be added because my "add friend" thing doesnt send out the tag requests for some reason. I will take your challenge on in Modern Warfare 2 whoever it was that stated that.

I dont mod. I never had the money to mod my system. But a friend of mine had his original xbox modded with over 150 games from the NES to the Xbox which was fun as hell. I would love to do it but i dont have moneys for that, and if i did id have to spend it on other stuff like food, water, shelter, clothing...

Ha! You know, ive had that tag for a long time and ive only had 1 other person who knew where that came from. That song, when it came out, was like my song. I hate the band and stuff now. But that name is still pretty cool.

Noone has added me yet from here :ecouteurs:

Have you seen the movie KEN PARK? Lamar Vanoy plays over the opening credits... (really really fucked up movie, it couldn't get a us distributer so it only exists as bootleg or import in the usa)

I suppose you expect people to just all of a sudden cold turkey give up our captialist ways when it's what's been hammered into our dna as americans? I agree it needs to change, but what makes u so much more superior then the rest of us?

I'm still failing to see how video game are necessarily "consumerist". Sure we buy and sell them now, but that's only because we live in a capitalist society.

To me video games are as much an art form as music and film. Anyone who says that video games like Fallout 3, Bioshock or Mass Effect aren't works of art either hasn't played a video game in their life or hasn't played said games all the way through. So what is the difference between video games, movies and music? They are all "entertainment" (ok, music to me is more a vehicle for change, but I still listen to some non-political stuff), so someone please clarify why it's "consumerist" to play video games (aside from the obvious corporate ownership) and it's not "consumerist" to watch a movie?

District 9 seemed to have quite a message to it as well ;)
Just saying most forms of art can probably be used as a means of getting a message across, including, but not limited to photography, painting, etching, video games, music, movies, drawings

u guys answered ya own question, thats the point, i don't support emi either, do the math, an addiction is just that u need to quit and get better happy vibes, weird haha, people often get so uppity wen it comes to their person/thats capitalism playing with ya emotional wellbeing, get used to it, go indy, wat it useta mean in the day man, independant and that takes 'work', or u can download that shit too haha, play games but balance it out by watchin less movies etc and puttin in work, u r part of this too or mite be time to leave the meeting, no time to waste.

old people play games because they're infirmed, do they feed ya mind so u dodn't get annoyed wen someone doesn't want to answer ya question ya could 'find' in a book and how much do you play, yep.

Videogames by the way, is the #1 art form in danger of massive censorship, they want to ban them at every turn.
They have slowly but surely been suceeding too, The mass edit of Manhunt 2, The mass edit of Left 4 Dead 2 in australia, the outright banning of certain games in other countries, The ignorance some of these people that are against videogames have in thier heads is astounding.

    Fucking religious fucknuts.

Joe Lieberman is on my top 5 list of people who need to get shot in the face with a sawn-off doublebarrel.

I'm finding it hard to understand what you are saying, but I'll try respond.

When it comes to music I don't support the major labels, I only buy music from independent bands with some substance to their music. But that's impossible with video games and movies, although there are independents, they are generally somehow attached to the giant companies (in video games anyway e.g. the xbox live indy gaming development thing). I do download games sometimes, but I also like to support video game developers, they are genuine artistic people that have no other way but to be tied down by the big companies. I know it's kind of a half-assed excuse but that's how I feel anyways. If we continue to work towards changing the social paradigm away from capitalism and onto something more equitable then I don't see any reason to stop playing video games really.

As for finding a book, I also read a lot, multi-tasking FTW.
