the most ridiculous converstation i had in a while, so for not long ago i was having a converstaion with a stranger on a chat room we talked about punk music and stuff, we began to talk about politics all of a sudden he said he was an anarchist, i thought i met another one of my comrades, when i heard he was an anarcho captialist, despite the bands he listend to which had a left wing political agenda (the clash for example), he began talking about all the positive things about his ideology, i told him i was an anarcho communist and a anarcho syndicalist, i asked him why he thinks anarcho capitalism is anarchism when i began asking him about wage labour he said " well there is nothing wrong with wage if they work voluntary" i told him why his argument wasn't anarchistic and anarchism is left wing not right wing, i told him i was against private property and he said " well yeah...can i have your liver then" i told him there was a difference between personal possesions and private property, the idiot then said, what's the difference between your liver and private property, and i told him it was a bullshit example and he began bragging about private property and it's values and said that it wasn't a valid argument of mine, then i asked him "okay then what's the difference then i am willing to hear", he waited 5 minutes to respond and i waited paitently, anyhow he finally answered back and said "well i already told you", i then told him how big of a idiot he was calling himself an anarchist and then he said " i can't believe anarcho communists won't allow people to be equal and everyone should be accepted no matter what and isn't that what anarcho communism is about" i told him he was a fucking idiot and i left the chat, anyhow storytimes over

do you have any funny stories you want to share with anarcho capitalists i would love to hear them anyhow have great day :ecouteurs:

    Haha, anarcho-hypocrites. Why isn't that a thing?

They're fun to pick at, especially when they start realizing that they're very very wrong and they panic and attack you on a personal level.

Ive never met one in real life, but when people start to talk about anarcho-capitalism or capitalism and defend it and call themselves some sort of capitalist, the first thing i do is ask them what capital they own...

In my experience they own no capital and are workers (wage slaves) who dream of becoming masters (capitalists)... :p

I know one and I actually hang out with him regularly. We have civil debates regularly but this guy doesn't know anything about real anarchism. So I'm planning that as I hang out with him is slowly introducing left-anarchist ideas without connecting them to the philosophy and maybe will still start to see more value in other ideas.

    Do Libertarians count?

I had a chat with a couple of them fairly recently and for whatever reason there seems to be a lot of "Alex Jones" types who run in that crowd. After exhorting the "free-market", one of them kept talking about how his political philosophy was grounded in the fact that all governments are incompetent and inferior to "market forces" and in the same breath insisted that 9/11 was an inside job. I asked how the government (and the CIA) which couldn't bug a hotel room (during Watergate), didn't see the fall of the Soviet Union coming, couldn't cover up Clinton's sex life, etc etc could have pulled of this grand conspiracy? He said I was missing the point and in those cases they might have "wanted it like that" to throw people off. Having enough I took off and told him I'll see him at the Fema Camps, not knowing the singular form for the word "sheeple" he kind of just shrugged.

Right-Libertarians count, i think, sort of. Though they tend to be "minarchists", i.e. they want just enough government to protect the rich from the poor.

I've never run afoul an A-C, but here's some debate pointers

-Actual stateless societies never or almost never use the market.

-Government is Capital's best friend. Could you imagine if there were no police, army, etc in Greece?

-The closest the US ever came to lassez faire capitalism (the decades after the Civil War) was one of the worst non-war periods in it's history. Unless you were in the capitalist class.

I love Anarcho-Capitalists, and Capitalists in general
    They're hilarious.
'1 in 5' children in the US below the poverty line'? That really sounds like the system works...
(Don't quote me on that statistic, I don't remember where I came across it and it's probably out of date now anyway)

I didn't think anarcho and capitalist could be used to describe the same person.
    Weird.

It's my first post here, so I'm glad, but it's really the first time I've heard of anarko kapitalists. So I've found a new term in order to describe some types. Greetings from Turkey, Eskisehir.

I post regularly on Reddit where I engage in discussion with "anarcho"-capitalists all the time. Basically, their beliefs come down to a misunderstanding of anarchism and the nature of capitalism.

First, they use a dictionary definition of anarchism, defining it as simply the rejection of the state. This is of course completely false, as anarchists aren't just against the state, they are against hierarchy, authoritarianism, and domination. Capitalism fits all three categories, it's hierarchical, authoritarian, and produces domination.

Basically they view the state as an institution that inherently impedes the free market. So instead, they promote a stateless, yet capitalist society. Even theoretically this doesn't make sense, because one of the primary functions of the state is the protection of private property, private property being what, at its foundations, capitalism is built on.

Not only do ancaps define anarchism incorrectly, they come up with the most ridiculous definitions of capitalism. Many ancaps, often define capitalism as "voluntary exchange," or "voluntary interaction."

This is the definition of capitalism that ancaps use when they say absurd things like anarcho-communism being compatible with "anarcho"-capitalism.

Basically, "anarcho"-capitalism is built on many logical fallacies, misunderstandings of concepts, and absolute stupidity.

I thought 9 - 11 was an inside job, but I fail to see how that relates to capitalism. I just think that there is a lot of evidence that it was.
this is a video about it:
