Family

My family does not care about it, my dad supports my punk band, and he agrees with some of my ideas, but my mother does not care about that, and I do not have much contact with the rest of my family.

 

don't get me wrong I love my father very much but hes a capitalist republican who thinks an open mind is absorbing the bullshit the media feeds you.. but I completely respect his right to be a capitalist fuck who doesn't know his ass from his face, you cant chose your family so you have to love em for who the fuck they are

 

well for me I've always been a left wing kinda guy, supporting equality towards the masses. When i try to talk to my parents about gay marriage and how it doesn't matter if its a guy and a guy or girl and a girl,and EVERY TIME i get accused of being a homosexual, which is slightly disturbing to me only to the fact that i am a heterosexual man that believes in equality for all, i try to tell them that love is love, it doesn't matter whats going on downstairs with either party, but they grew up in the 60's and have the belief that its a "problem" that can be fixed with religion and how god hates homosexuals apparently. the argument that i like to stick to is that if god hated them so much then why would they let them exist in the first place, its been around sense the cavemen of the super continent, and was only deemed a "problem" when Christianity came around, and what really surprises me is when i read the bible how when Jesus was in his last days he washed the feet of his followers, who were prostitutes, the sick lepers, and the "lowest" of the low in that society, so with that subject i just stopped bringing it up with them because it was the same pointless debate that ran circles time and time again. when i try to talk about them about anarchy their thoughts are of me going out on the streets and destroying everything around me, and how my views can end me up in prison for acts of terrorism. i try to reiterate time and time again that my views of anarchy are that of changing the social aspect of society and how judgement and racism gets us no where accept for a more ignorant generation that cant live in peace because of the basis of skin and clothing? Makes no sense to me that you can tell exactly how a person is by the color of their skin and how they dress, i like to believe that you cant judge a book by its cover, but by the contents of the material inside. Everyone has the right to their own opinion but that is mine and I'm sticking to it.
