I'll spam a few Danish groups as I promised a little too long ago now:

I apologize that I can't make that damn embed thing on youtube work for me, so you'll get it as links (boring I know)

Sods (later: Sort Sol)
My favorite group, started out being old-school 77 punk, but later turned Post-Punk (today one of Denmarks most well-known rockbands playing stadiums - Their new music is more just rock)
This is from their first record:
Military Madness:

Rock'n'Roll:

City-X - another famous early group:
Avis: (meaning: newspaper)
http://youtu.be/Q-8Ry56EdeU
Langtidsledig: (meaning: long time unemployed)
http://youtu.be/uMRcM76Pcj4

No Hope for the Kids
My favorite newer group - mid-tempo political HC punk, but catchy!

No Hope for the Kids:
http://youtu.be/fG01YEytHt4
Secret Police:
http://youtu.be/NsLC7phYzvc

Nightfever - Contemporary Hardcore group!

Nuclear War:
http://youtu.be/PNPqXmrOPnA

Enola Gay - old-school hardcore

Flere bomber mere magt (meaning: More bombs more power)
http://youtu.be/PewiS7-LD5A

Amdi Petersens Armé - more old-school HC

En borger af Samfundet (meaning: A citizen of society)
http://youtu.be/Yb_koM7cPQY

Fejlfix - Great comtemporary HC - Fast as hell

Vanvid (meaning: insanity)
http://youtu.be/hg_fsVpfhLw

Blow your brains out:
http://youtu.be/FU2I2JEh1aI

The Assassinators - DIY pop-punk!

Skyggesiden (meaning: "The shadowy side")
http://youtu.be/VAl0IRSziFc

Hjertestop K-Town HC Punk when it's best!

Løb: (meaning: Run)
http://youtu.be/bbcN-EpKZHw

Doomsday Oh Yeah!
http://youtu.be/MQWgY8LGJmE

Skarpretter - pretty well-known K-town anarchist punk group

Naziscum
http://youtu.be/pRQTAWHMRTk

Dårligt Selvskab - New project from the leadsinger of Skarpretter and Paragraf 119

Tryg (meaning: Safe)
http://youtu.be/kptt0K9FnBg

Anonymous:
http://youtu.be/Trv8WC5sc4M

Brudte Løfter - Contemporary HC punk group:

Bedre end dig (meaning: better than you) - live
http://youtu.be/ED11c4NcTb8

Tumor Warlord - Sci-Fi Punk!

Bio-Machine:
http://youtu.be/VOdNVE37MtY

Obviously, we have WAY more, but I've tried to focus a little on the HC punk groups (and the groups I like myself). The HC "K-town" scene has been running slower lately but meanwhile, there's a new wave of art-punk, post-punk etc.. If anyone is into that kind of stuff, there's A LOT more to recommend!

By the way, I don't expect anyone to actually listen to all of this haha :lmao:

Just say if you're looking for more scandinavian groups - without knowing what specific genres people prefer, I couldn't do much better than this hehe

Hey I remember Sods from my youth. They were pretty damn good and snotty if I'm not mistaken.
Are you sure you're doing it right? Right-click on the >small< clip image (not the actual clip) and select "copy link location".
Then, back in A-PN, click the video tab and paste.

Shuei, didn't Sods have this song, I don't remember the name, but the part I remember went something like this:"Life is cheap, but death is frrrree.... Just put me in a plastic bag and leave me on the pavement"??????

Great list Shuei, keep up the good work!

BTW, my friend got this amazing page: http://thefatpunk.dk/

Also, to post videos, you just need to press the "Video" botton, and then paste the URL between the two "boxes" in the text.

Cheers!

Spike, one of many:

Maybe. "Walking on Red" from their second LP has the lyric "Now she's lying on the pavements the bodies bending over her". I do have all their records + a bunch of live-recordings + well... Pretty much everything I can get my hands on with them. Maybe you're thinking of the british the Sods?
How was the sound of the song? Their second LP is very and weird post-punk, their first pretty much punk (though with some weider songs, most notably "Copenhagen" which is like a atmospheric and slightly odd version of London Calling or something like that haha)

Veganarchy:
Yes, I was actually about to mention thefatpunk.dk, it's the best place to download a whole bunch of records.
And I shall try that - damn computers

Spike:
Ehm, I'm really bad at all these computer forum things - I'm not even sure if I can edit my post to change it. I'll try doing it right the next times!

Actually, I might as well add some for the new more art-punk/post-punkish and such. Some of it is mixed with hardcore punk and quite up-beat and aggressive, while other is more in the lines of post-punk:

IceAge
At the moment one of the most hyped groups, not just of Denmark, but on the planet right now. NME, Pitchfork and all those have given their album great reviews and they have been touring most of the US and Europe. Therefore, they are also a little controversial in the danish scene.
That said, I like their music, and I know that they still do DIY shows in Copenhagen:

Collapse

New Brigade

Lower
Out of the same scene, just like IceAge mixing some darker introspective and experimental aspects of post-punk with fast beats and noisy guitars.

Pictures of Passion

Melting Walkmen
One of the most diverse post-punk groups you can find - starting out playing up-beat punk they have progressed more and more into dark, slow and atmospheric post-punk, mixing with synthesizer and drone elements.
Not a lot of it available on youtube though, only their new one, which is one of their slower (but great) ones. So I'll link to their bandcamp as well.

Broken Glass

http://meltingwalkmen.bandcamp.com/

Chainsaw Eaters
Great minimalistic post-punk group, consisting solely of a synthesizer, vocals and drums. They only have live videos available on youtube, and they don't really do them justice - they are an amazing experience live.

Hands of Relief:

Moth
Some members of both Melting Walkmen and Chainsaw Eaters collaborated, creating this great cold-wave/post-punk group!

Drown

Frozen Tears

Even Dwarfs
Minimalistic post-punk, just a guitar and half a drum kit, but absolutely great. The group recently split unfortunately.

Even Dwarfs (live):

Marching Church
Solo-project of the leadsinger from IceAge. Just released a new less lo-fi LP, but I can't find any of it on youtube.

Sexdrome
More like black metal mixed with some elements of dark punk. Very popular, and definitely worth mentioning, as the members of the group are extremely active in their scene.

Metro Cult
Yeah, I'll end on my own band. I know that's not cool, but I do figure that we somehow fit in with this "darker punk sound" so to speak.

I didn't cover all bands, but I tried to mention those groups most active and well-known in the scene. I also tried to mention only active groups - apart from Even Dwarfs
all these groups are active.

No, that's great, I see you've got the hang of it now. I'm not bothered that you didn't post the vids in the first place. I just thought that it's really so simple, it would've been a shame if nobody tried to explain it to you.
Great stuff!!!

this thread is sick, ive been loving iceage and lower at the moment but it seems like all bands from denmark are well good, got to check a few of these out still.
hope iceage dont turn out to be nazis though, ive herd them defend themselves saying they arnt a political band and the artwork isnt meant to be taken seriously but flirting with that imagery and the video dressed up like klansmen is pretty dodgey

Jack Torrance:
I know the members, they are not nazis.
They can be offensive as hell and they have some friends that are questionable, but they themselves are not nazis. Also, I've never heard any racists or otherwise fascist statements from either IceAge or Lower, neither when talking to them privately or when they speak in public. Both bands have jewish drummers.
Furthermore, there's a lot of homo-erotism in the scene. They are definitely not homophobic, which we all know nazis also tend to be.

It's true they do use some questionable imagery, but it's not meant as support for fascist ideas in any way. I guess it's mostly shock value and fascination with groups such as Death in June, whom some members of IceAge on multiple occasions has said they like.
