It seems the student movement for a free education in chile, i thinks the struggle is now entering it's 2nd year...

is up again and moving again...

Chile student protesters invade senate

"Student demonstrators in Chile took direct action in the Senate headquarters on Thursday, by forcing their way into the building in Santiago. They interrupted a a committee meeting and broadcast their demonstration live over the internet by webcam, calling for more people to come and join them.

The protests for educational reform in Chile turned violent later on that night, as students clashed with police on the streets of the capital."

A Protest through downtown Santiago at 5 years after the assassination of warrior Matías Catrileo

Matias Catrileo was a mapuche that was shot in the back by a cop.

Start the year with fire in the streets, that no friend be forgotten!

Hundreds of people gathered from 7pm in the center of Santiago, to march from the Alameda by Paseo Ahumada to Plaza de Armas. This was part of the fifth commemoration in memory of Matthias Catrileo.

The rally was held despite the large police contingent surrounding the perimeter of the march, so the disorder that happened last year would not occur again.

link to what went down last year: http://liberaciontotal.lahaine.org/?p=4837

After arriving in Plaza de Armas, some encapuchadxs (hooded-ones) began to riot and threw Molotov cocktails at two bank branches, a Banefe Santander Bank and another of BancoEstado. Furthermore other began lighting barricades and attacked stores and pharmacies.

There were also clashes with the bastards of the Special Forces police, who used their armored vehicles to apply water and gases, as well as their entire arsenal to try to disperse protesters. It transformed everything into a great chaos.

They detained protesters, but we have no information if there were those who spent the night in jail and if they will formalized until January 4.

- Clashes in Villa Francia, Santiago.

In another part in the combative Villa France, the area of the district of Central Station. Encapuchadxs (hooded-ones) light barricades at April 5 (street name) and with molotoves clashed with the forces of order. All this for the memory the rebel Matthias Catrileo.

Police said they arrested three young men, who in their backpacks had material to build bombs. The young people spent the night in jail and will be formalized on Friday January 4.

[Update you on those arrested ...]

Direct Actions in remembrance of the killing of Matias Catrileo death continues... (more above ^^^^^^^^^^^)

WALLMAPU: Arson Attack Ends With 2 Bourgeois Burned And One Detained

January 5, 2013.

At 1:20 in the morning today, Saturday, January 5, a group of about 10 weichafes (Mapuche warriors) conducted an arson attack against the estate of Werner Luchsinger, brother of Jorge Luchsinger (Santa Margarita estate owner where five years ago Matías Catrileo was killed) in the commune of Vilcún, resulting in the deaths of the owner and his partner due to the flames.

The versions of the story are still very confusing, though that we already know, that the farm owner's wife, Vivianne McKay, had a telephone conversation with his son apparently while the attack was going on. Apparently, they tried to pose as heroes and preferred to stay in the house while it burned. The damage and destruction were complete.

Unfortunately, a weichafe (warrior) wounded previously by a bullet of Werner Luchsinger identified as Celestino Cordova Transito, 26 and belonging to the Community. Was admitted to the Regional Hospital of Temuco with injuries being non life threatening. During the day he was notified by prosecutors as being detained for the attack. Communication with him is none, he will be formalized on Friday 11 January.

The region of Araucania is militarized and with various raids in many communities, which has led to a de facto state of siege, but they are still asking for the formality of this, which could cause further tension in the sector.

The state has already announced that it will send in thugs to complement new plans for police patrol 24 hours a day.

From VLA (Long Live Anarchy) solidarity with the Mapuche people as both in Wallmapu and in Puelmapu, in solidarity with their struggle and claims, as well as their fallen weichafes (warriors) and prisoners, especially now with Celestino ... strength peñi (brother)!

Anti-Encapuchados Law to be Strengthened

Jan. 13th, 2013.

President Piñera is calling for the strengthening of the “anti-encapuchados” law. This bill, initiated last year, is coming back under debate due to the terrorist attacks in La Araucanía Region.

On Sunday, President Sebastián Piñera spoke at a public safety meeting at the Escuela de Carabineros (Chilean Police School) that was attended by over a hundred of Santiago’s town councilors. Minutes earlier, the Head of State advanced 218 new police vehicles to the metropolitan area, out of a total of 800 that police will receive nationwide. These new vehicles amount to an investment of CL$15 billion.

As part of this event, Piñera announced an offensive in terms of public safety, including modifications of the Hinzpeter Law. “It is urgent that we discuss this bill that has been waiting for too long in Congress. It seeks to reinforce the legislation’s ability to fight against the rioters, and will give better protection to our policemen,” he said.

The initiative was taken last year, when violent student protests were sowing chaos in the country. However, the bill’s opposition accused it of violating people’s right to demonstrate, and it was eventually dropped. The student movement tailed off along with it.

According to government sources, the Executive had been working on the bill for the past few weeks to “change its face” so that it could be approved by the Parliament. But only in the past few days has the bill become a priority, due to arsons committed by encapuchados in La Araucanía.

President Piñera also invoked the Anti-Terrorism Law, pointing out that “it is not targeting the Mapuche people in particular, but any terrorist, whatever his skin color is and wherever he comes from.”

Claim of responsibility for the bombing against the police precinct in Las Vizcachas

Posted on February 27, 2013

For centuries they have slowly and surely been building a death machine, with individual comfort, submission, and cowardice comprising the main motor. That for the eyes of the stupid humans, those who turn the other cheek, who also fall silent and forget whichever re-occurring and existent misery, is impenetrable and indestructible. This is all continually accomplished with the inevitable support of Judges, prosecutors, and lawyers; Politicians, business owners, and cops; Professors, scientists, and bio-technologists; Gods, temples, and the obedient; Wars, nations, and armies; Advertising, television, and spectators; Clubs, bars, and drugs; Malls, stores of opulence and consumption; Intellectuals, universities, schools; States, prisons, guards; Banks, properties, and money; Urban development, executives, and workers; Technologies, robotics, and surveillance; Slaughterhouses, farms, and experimentation centers. Without mentioning the collaborators, “sapxs”, and who knows how many other shit heads…

In light of the aforementioned, for some time a war has been declared against the existent for autonomy and total liberation, it’s in our hands to each time continually sharpen our weapons. We have to break with all diagrams, all probability, and that which they hope for, we have to strike where it hurts as Ted Kaczynski has said.

This is why for yet another time we laugh in your faces, we thwarted your security yet another time and entered your station right next to your rooms, seeing how you live your nauseating lives.

For our last action at the Court of Puente Alto we warned that we would be at your windows, that we would be stalking you, we only needed our conviction, and our anti-authoritarian spirit to break with the logic of fear and obedience, as this continues to be the fundamental rampart protecting those who perpetuate daily the existence of all this shit.

After jumping the walls we placed our little present, that luckily for them didn’t contain shrapnel nor butane gas, only our friend gunpowder, a huge mistake on our part, because ideally it would have left some bastard six feet underground.

Now you are warned, we are not just books and words, we are fire, rage and gunpowder, for the next time we find ourselves and thwart your security…we will see hehehe!

NOTE: We as Amigxs de la Pólvora want to say and declare that the youth detained as a suspect for the attack by the filthy pigs is not part of our affinity group. Make the trick questions good or perhaps you want make fools of yourselves as you succeeded in doing with Caso Bombas, hahaha.

Strength to All Prisoners, Human or non-Human, spread throughout the World

Strength to those Persecuted in Clandestinity

Long live Anarchy!

Chile: March 8th, International (Combatant) Women’s Day in Santiago

Note from LT: We have mentioned on several occasions that we are not interested in monothematic terms or struggles like “feminism” (much less radical feminism). Because when we speak of Human Liberation, we speak of being against the exploitation of people, slavery, rape, racism, sexism, and a long etcetera. The condition of “exploited or oppressed” is not enough to make one’s stance toward life dignified, rather that this be seen in the daily contradictions of society, where people’s real potential lies. Therefore our proposal is the overcoming of demands for equal rights, or the belief that by “nature” one gender is better than another, in order to bring attention to the root of the conflict, which is the domination of the human over other beings and the environment.

What follows are some photos and a “captured video” from Friday March 8th, when there was a march for the International Women’s Day from Plaza Italia right down Alameda toward La Moneda.

In spite of the victimist and citizenist nature of the call, there were some compañerxs who with propaganda tried to make evident the topic of prison as a tool for annihilating people and the necessity of expressing solidarity with those who are locked up, as well as rescuing from forgetfulness the compañeras fallen in combat for liberation.

On the other hand, also as propaganda, hooded individuals quickly started to tear down whatever urban structure in order to block streets and destroy symbols of Power.

In front of the Welen blockade and next to the UC, a squad of motor cops were repelled when they tried to stop the destruction of a Civil Security post and, at the receiving end of molotovs, took to running.

But there is no doubt that the great deed that marked this day was the beating carried out by a group of hooded individuals of the Chief of the Carabineros Downtown Santiago Precinct, the Special Forces Colonel, Víctor Tapia. And as well as taking revenge in their hands, they took his cap as a trophy of war. This bastard is the same one who gave orders for beating, humiliating, genital torture, torture, etc, anyone who was arrested in marches or any kind of demonstrations. There is no doubt that no one will be able to forget the afternoon when he ended up dazed and bloodied in the march for the Day of the Combatant Women like Claudia Lopez, an anarchist compañera killed by the cops on September 11, 1998.

This was also accompanied by frequent attacks on banks, and barricades. In total there were more than a dozen arrested, but no one with charges.

March is just begun…Let’s take back the streets with fire and combative memory!

In honor of those who died in the struggle for liberation!

This March 29th, to the street!!!

The Chilean Student Movement Resumes With Force

NOTE:
1. THIS IS THE FIRST STUDENT PROTEST OF 2013
2. AROUND 60 PEEPS WERE ARRESTED

MARCH 28, 2013

Shortly after the end of the summer break (summer in the southern hemisphere ends March 21), the student movement in Chile has returned to the streets in force. On the morning of Thursday, March 28, ten thousand youth blocked the central avenue of Alameda in Santiago. Some masked students threw molotov cocktails and police and set up barricades. The police tried to control the demo with guanacos, the armored tanks that shoot high-pressure jets of water and tear gas.

Starting in May 2011, university and high school students across Chile took up where the student struggle of 2006 left off, fighting for free and higher quality education. Universities in Chile are all private, and Chile ranks low in funding for public education.

The student movement quickly grew to include millions, engaging in protests, strikes, riots, and school occupations.

Within this space, anarchist participation grew exponentially. The Federación Estudiantil Libertaria–Libertarian Student Federation–has grown to become a powerful force in the movement, and the use of black blocs, molotov cocktails, and barricades has become a major element within nearly every single student protest. As a result, critiques of education within capitalist society have increasingly spread within the movement.

Leftist and Marxist formations also have substantial within the student movement.

By the end of the school year in 2012, the government had returned to the negotiating table numerous times, prostating itself a little more, offering lower interest rates on student loans and greater funding for public education, in a desperate bid to stop the riots. So far, the students have not agreed to any compromise.

In other news, the night of March 27, police raided two anarchist houses–the social center Pandemia and a squat–in the southern city of Temuco. The raid was an attempt to encounter materials being prepared for March 29, the Day of the Youth Combatant, in which people across the country, especially in poorer neighborhoods, celebrate youth resistance against the dictatorship by fighting the cops. In many poblaciones, it is common for people to shoot at the police with shotguns and pistols.

Many common Chileans feel that the government can not as easily resort to military dictatorship or armed force to quell popular resistance and impose capitalist policies, as it did in 1973, because now people are armed.

Day Of The Young Combatant Starts Early

March 29, 2013

Violent incidents in which groups of hooded militants threw up impromptu barricades on the street and vandalized public property were reported late Thursday night, and are expected to continue throughout Friday.

SANTIAGO — Last night’s turmoil in different parts of Santiago spread and intensified during the early hours this morning, as part of the anarchic celebrations of this year’s “Day of the Young Combatant”, which inevitably leads to rioting on this day each year.

The more serious incidents were reported in San Bernardo, south of the capital, where groups of encapuchados (people wearing very scary-looking hoodies) set up barriers on roads and set fire to at least two cars.

According to witnesses, a group with their faces covered stopped one vehicle and threw out the driver, proceeding to set his car ablaze. It remains unclear why the driver decided to stop for the angry mob rather than step on the gas.

Another parked car was also burned with a Molotov cocktail.

Other intense incidents were reported by Chilean TV station 24 Horas in the vicinity of Calle Los Morros. Investigators on the scene reported hearing several gunshots from different caliber weapons. At least eight people have already been arrested by police, one of whom was carrying ammunition.

In La Pincoya, Huechuraba, north of Santiago, witnesses reported that a third vehicle was also burned by roaming bands of hooded thugs. In Peñalolén, protesters set up barricades as early as 11 p.m., and also looted a number of shops in the community.

On Wednesday, the authorities announced their plan to deal with the disturbances that would undoubtedly soil an otherwise tranquil Good Friday. People looking to avoid the trouble, especially foreigners in Santiago, are advised to exercise caution when traveling outdoors today. If you find yourself in a sketchy area of town for any reason, it is a good day to practice the fine art of “looking over your shoulder”. Running shoes are also a plus.

The “Day of the Young Combatant” commemorates the 1985 death of young Rafael and Eduardo Vergara Toledo.

Day Of Combatant Youth And Repression In Temuco

March 29, 2013 - the Day of the Combatant Youth

This is a report on what went down...

In Chile, the 29th of March is celebrated as the Day of the Combatant Youth. On this day in 1985, police encountered and killed Rafael and Eduardo Vergara Toledo, two brothers involved in the armed resistance against the dictatorship. Eduardo, 20 years old, was shot to death on the spot, while Rafael, 18, survived the police ambush and was later executed in the police station. The oldest brother in the family, Pablo, who in 1983 had been extensively tortured by Chilean police for political reasons, and the sister, Anita, fled into exile. In 1988, they returned clandestinely to Chile. In November of that year, Pablo and Araceli Romo, both militants of the MIR, were found dead at the site of an explosion by an electrical tour, but all forensic evidence indicates they were killed elsewhere and placed at the scene of an explosion carried out by the military.

The mother, Luisa Vergara Toledo, began organizing protests to seek the truth about the killings of her three sons, to demand that the police responsible be punished, and to celebrate the memory of all the young people who fought against authority. Admirably, she continued protesting when the dictatorship transitioned to democracy in 1990. At least 74 combatant youth have been killed in struggle in the final years of the dictatorship and in the two decades of democracy.

The yearly protest takes place in the proletarian neighborhood of Villa Francia, on the spot where Rafael and Eduardo were killed, although the Day of the Combatant Youth is celebrated much more broadly than with one protest, by human rights, marxist, leftist, and anarchist groups. University students typically clash with police at the corner of the streets Macul and Grecia, and in the nighttime people in many poblaciones–poor suburbs, some of them originally springing from collective land occupations–set up barricades and fight with police. There are also protests and riots in most other cities in Chile.

In 2013, several hundred people–growing eventually to a thousand–gathered at the spot of the murders of Rafael and Eduardo to listen to speeches by Luisa and Manuel–the father, as well as the mother of Matias Catrileo and the mother of another youth killed in protests. The three mothers then presented loaves of bread they had baked, sharing it with all present, asking the taking of the bread to commemorate a lifelong commitment to the struggle, not just one day a year, but every day. At one point, Luisa (who at this point is very old) apologized for a moment of disorganization in the ceremony by saying, “I’m distracted, I want to go throw stones.”

Next, the crowd marched through Villa Francia, accompanied by a troupe of traditional tinku dancers and musicians. They arrived in a park to listen to several bands–punk, hip hop, rock, and ska–as well as more speakers from the Mapuche struggle, leftist organizations, or masked members of armed struggle groups. In a final speech, Luisa again asked the people to take the struggle seriously, to be careful but fight hard, to recognize that it was a question of life and death, and to consider the need of acquiring arms “because they’re not going to fall from the sky.” Afterwards, the crowd masked up and marched off, encountering riot police at the avenue 5 June.

Meanwhile, at Macul and Grecia, by the university, some 50 masked people set up a flaming barricade and pelted police with molotov cocktails, holding their ground for some time before making their getaway. For more on this part of the day, see War on Society.

During the night, neighbors set up burning barricades in the poblaciones of La Victoria, Villa Francia, La Pincoya, Pudahuel, and elsewhere. The police acted aggressively, trying to control the streets–and sometimes succeeding–with tear gas, rubber bullets, armored personnel carriers, guanacos (armored tanks that shoot high pressure streams of water to put out fires or attack protesters) and sorillos (smaller tanks that shoot tear gas). People fought back with rocks, molotov cocktails, slingshots, and in some areas shot guns, air guns, pistols and in a couple cases automatic rifles.

The media this year have tried to minimize the rioting, so it is hard to find out how many arrests were carried out, and how many cops were injured.

Comrades Arrested In Temuco, Accused Of Placing Bombs

We have been able to get an update on the comrades arrested in Temuco on the 28th: three women in one of the houses raided have been charged with fabrication and placing of explosives. They claim it is a police frame-up. Their lawyer has indicated that initially police reported finding nothing in the social center, but subsequently, when no witnesses were present, they allegedly found the explosive devices. In the squat raided, several people were arrested for not cooperating, one of them also charged for possession of marijuana. The person police claim to have found with marijuana is straight-edge.

What follows is a translation from Liberación Total

Communiqué regarding the raids carried out in Temuco on private homes and the space Pandemia.

Today the 28th of March 2013, in the city of Temuco around 6am, the OS-9 and special forces realized an operation in two adjacent private homes, one of them being the space PANDEMIA (not squatted as the bourgeois press reported) which are located at San Ernesto 299.

One hour later the repressive forces entered these two houses with the purpose of kidnapping our comrades, confiscating personal objects, computers, harddrives, sound equipment, among other belongings; furthermore to stage their theater they introduce materials for the fabrication of explosive devices (extinguishers, fuses, detonating timer, gunpowder), concluding the operation with the detention of 12 comrades, who are taken to the eighth precinct of Temuco.

In the face of these deeds we declare the following:

1: There is the precedent that on March 26, comrades of Pandemia denounced, with a communiqué, the constant harrassment of the repressor state through its various police organs.

2: We find this fact absurd and we relate it to earlier police frame-ups like the Bombs Case in Santiago, which fell apart for lack of evidence after months of investigation and imprisonment of comrades. All these intrigues of the Chilean state are meant to justify the terror and violence in the region, placed within the preventive/repressive operation against the 29th of March, Day of the Combatant Youth (http://www.laopinon.cl/noticia/sociedad ... n-combat...)

3: Additionally it is necessary to point out the prosecutor in charge of the new frame-up is CRISTIAN PAREDES; who also realized the Poluco Pidenco case in 2004, in which Mapuche comuneros (both commoners and community members) were prosecuted and imprisoned.

4: It should be pointed out that the PANDEMIA space is a location where open public activities are carried out, where solidarity for comrades kidnapped by the State is promoted, and where antiauthoritarian ideas and practices are also disseminated.

5: What is being persecuted and criminalized here are the ideas that are promoted in this space and the individuals who have affinity with them, crafting false evidence and using this to intimidate those who oppose capital and its laws.

6: We want to inform that during the course of the afternoon our comrades were forced to give a blood sample.

7: We demand the immediate freedom of our kidnapped comrades and we call for solidarity and the broadcasting of this frame-up through all independent media.

Group of Support for 28-M Prisoners

Real Direct Solidarity with the imprisoned comrades in Temuco before a new 29th of MarchMay we clamor for their freedom with fire in the streets.

Our total support for the repressed comrades in the South, whose dignity and commitment to the struggle can be seen from afar.

We repudiate and spit on our common enemies, who invent charges and evidence, to avenge themselves for the attacks carried out right under their noses (Homecenter Sodimac, Dirección Regional de Carceleros and the Police Station of the FFEE, being the latest three attacks in a city where warlike actions have been going on for years) to use our comrades as scapegoats, as an example against all conscious people who dare to struggle against the System. We call on ALL COMRADES from the broader scene and anarchic and antiauthoritarian circles to act within their fields of praxis, be in protests against the tribunals of $hile, with gatherings, or on the other side with clandestine, anonymous attacks, to go out in defense of our comrades, above all because they haven’t even been formally charged yet and already they have been subjected to DNA sampling (like in the Bombs Case) to be added to the “national criminal identification database” and compared with samples from sites of attacks.

History repeats itself again. Prosecutors with airs of heroes of the imposed order, invented evidence and publicly active comrades accused with all the force of the law.

Let’s not raise our hands nor lower our heads, we have nothing to regret, we must feel full of arrogance and pride next to these bastard defenders of Power (politicians, prosecutors, and judges), we don’t owe them NOTHING. We have not signed any pact or negotiation with this disgusting civilized society, we are warriors and revolutionaries who do not believe in their dogmas or morality, we have our own convictions that need not be negotiated with any bourgeois comfort.

Strength, hugs and love to our comrades! Eternal hatred for the bastards of Power!
This is an eye for an eye!

Action In memory Of Four Years Since The Death Of Compañero Maurico Morales Duarte

Maurico Morales also known as the Punky Mauri

MAY 22, 2013

“Because when freedom, love and anarchy accompany the beating in your heart, anarchy does not die in the mouth, it prevails in active hands.” – Mauricio Morales Duarte.

As we have expressed before already, “actions do not speak for themselves alone and should be carried out with a clear conviction full of love for the compañerxs and full of hate for those who sustain power”– under this perspective we consider the claiming of the action that we carried out on Thursday May 22 of this year consistent with our principles and indispensable in our actions in order to give a clear sense to our positioning in struggle.

Although it may appear to many in the subversive sphere a repetitive and reiterative exercise to block a street, the barricade also brings with it a declaration of war, it is an opposition to the established order, it is what does not allow the gears of capital to go on normally. It represents itself as a factual deed within the latent social conflict and it is the visualization of this conflict before whatever spectator, before the citizen complicit in the forgetfulness that power supplies.

This time our action was not framed within a particular situation, instead it brought with it the weapon of memory, loaded with our indomitable hearts, a few liters of benzine and combustible material to put in the road, along with leaflets and a banner to make the action’s reason known.

We assume the responsibility of not leaving compañero Mauricio Morales Duarte (El Punky Mauri) to oblivion, nor much less do we leave the discourse to be distorted by the bourgeois press; instead we are the ones who remember him, those who are united with the compañero’s ideas and thoughts, who commemorate him in the street, in practice, going on the offensive once again.

We have never intended to idealize, martyrize or redeem our compañero’s figure as a hero, instead we retrieve our brother who, with his missteps and good steps, strove to be consistent with his revolutionary theory and practice. We make our own the words that Gabriel Pombo Da Silva once wrote (in Diary and Ideary of a Criminal)–”People with principles and values are pleasing to me, and the idealists of the heart; more pleasing still for their heroic “gestures,” their human gestures, for their radical humanism, for their commitments up to the final consequences… Let’s not stay on the soapbox making pretty speeches, we like to be in the arena; let’s get our hands dirty, be implicated, risk our necks!”–this is how we remember Punky Mauri.

Four years after his unexpected death we consider it consistent to block the capital’s primary artery, Alameda street, at the top oc Maturana street, in order to remember the living fire of compañero Mauricio Morales Duarte. The place checked in advance and our action prepared for its creation, we walked with steady steps toward the accorded place, we looked at the clock, at 8:00 PM exactly, not a minute before, not a minute after, we attacked, careful under the complicit watch of our compañerxs who participated in the action.

Sheltered by the night’s darkness, we hid our faces covered in desires of freedom, avoiding any sign that could identify us, we shook off the fears the immobilize many, and with the calm of one who sets a trap at her pace, we went in search of our target. Awaiting the opportune moment to make the blockade, we heard the fearful murmuring of those who saw their daily life shattered.

We went into the street spreading the combustible material and sawdust on top of this for the barricade’s greater effectiveness; we doused the whole block north of Alameda with over 7 liters of benzine, while other compañerxs unfurled a banner in memory of Punky Mauri. There were slogans alluding to the compañero, leaflets and a couple firecrackers to annoy the authorities.

We believe that the compañero’s death shouldn’t remain under this society’s cloak of oblivion, nor much less should we forget the compañerxs who remain kidnapped by the authorities today. Under this perspective we see the necessity to spread insurrectionary action, spreading revolt in all spheres of life, we already said it before: “we believe that the forms of confrontation are dissimilar and heterogeneous, none of greater importance than another, from expropriation to written propaganda; we understand that each subject, based on their personal relation in the struggle and their possibilities, decides the most fitting way of acting.”

We consider this act as another experience in the actions/tactics in the social war which allow us to create changes and overcome substantive obstacles qualitatively and quantitatively, not for ourselves in particular but for all those who position themselves in the social war.

It is worth mentioning that this action is framed in memory of Mauri, but we do not forget all the imprisoned compañerxs, Marcelo, Freddy, Juan, Henry (on house arrest), Gabriel Pombo Da Silva, Nicola Gai, Alfredo Cospito, Braulio, Marco Camenisch, Hans Niemeyer, Sergio María Stefani, Jose Miguel Sánchez, the compañerxs of the CCF and many others who remain unmentioned, finally we greet Diego Ríos who still keeps mocking authority–this also goes out to you.

HEADED FOR THE DESTRUCTION OF THE PRISON SOCIETY

ALWAYS IN MEMORY, AND IN ACTION, MAURICIO MORALES PRESENTE!!!

Action In Memory of Mauricio Morales

May 22, 2013...

It was around 2 pm on May 22 when over a dozen compañerxs covered up and with faces concealed decided to launch a direct action in memory of our compañero Mauricio Morales (El Punky Mauri). They took the intersection of Grecia Avenue and Doctor Johow, at the outskirts of the University of $hile, erected barricades and posted themselves to wait for the fanatics of order with 100 molotov cocktails.

Upon the arrival of the armed force of capital, the combatants got ready to attack, with all their material, without a breather; the trees would serve as cover while the shadows of the faceless bodies regrouped to attack again. The confrontations lasted about 30 minutes, without any compañerx being wounded, or indeed captured by the lapdogs of power.

The retreat was launched at the moment when the compañerxs used up all their attacking material. Neither their tear gas, nor their chemical water, nor their pellets were able to stop the action and the fury of the hooded compañerxs.

This action is framed within the commemoration of the unfortunate death of our compañero Mauricio Morales, a result of the unfortunate explosion of his explosive device. Four years after your death, those who carry fire in their hearts, fury in their minds, and thousands of insurrectionary actions in their hands do not forget you. We are not among those who idealize your death as heroic, or that of a martyr, you were just another brother, another compañerx, and therefore like many who launched the various forms of offensive against capital.

Compañero Mauricio Morales: a warrior, not a martyr!
Freedom to the political prisoners and fire to the prison society!

Contents of the leaflets found in the place:

On May 22, 2009, Mauricio Morales, an anarchist compañero, died fighting against exploitation, misery, the prison system… Today we remember your spirit of struggle, as a warrior, without putting anyone at risk… Like everything that you blew up, you blew yourself up as well. But you fly forever in our hearts.* Because no compañerx killed or imprisoned is forgotten.

FROM MEMORY TO THE STREET, PUNKY MAURI IS PRESENT

SEPTEMBER 11th 2013
the anniversary of the 40th year since the first neo-liberal sate was created, and it was in Chile on Sept. 11th 1973....

Communique for the street confrontation 40 years after the Coup D’etat in Santiago

This 1st of August, in a coordinated action and in an attempt to distance ourselves from the fetishization of that date in September, we decided to take to the streets at three points, already known for their historical street fighting: UTEM, Pedagógico, y Juan Gómez Millas. We were again the authors of incendiary attack against the barracks of OS9 of the dogs of the rich, and the subsequent confrontations entailed by the 3 coordinated actions, this time we took the streets in August, but in remembrance of the 40 years of the most cruel and hard invasion of the prevailing system during which thousands of compañeros were assassinated and imprisoned. Just like the state does today with its democracy stained by the blood of many social fighters.

We also remember compañero Jaime Mendoza Collio, a mapuche compañero assassinated by the same dogs we attacked, also in our minds and in each molotov, the compañero Manuel Gutiérrez, assassinated in the most critical moments of the student mobilization.

Within a month of 40 years of the coup d’etat we set their routine on fire to remember the compañeros in prison Nicolás Sandoval, Io Giuria Muñoz, and the compañero Hans Niemeyer, recently sentenced. An embrace to all of them.

On the arrival of 40 years of the coup d’etat, we repeat a thousand times: we do not forgive and we do not forget 40 years of repression, the civil war is not over!

Cordon Macul active and combatant

Alfredo Bonanno, proponent of insurrectionary anarchism, expelled from Chile

This went down on Dec. 12, 2013.

Last Thursday night, the Investigative Police barred from entry and expelled from the country Alfredo María Bonanno, an Italian of 76 years considered an historic mentor of insurrectionary anarchist theory. He came from Argentina on a Sky flight and was sent back.

Bonanno participated in various talks of a social nature in Uruguay and Argentina, the same objective bringing him to Chile last Friday, nevertheless, the authorities barred his movement, arguing the fact of his having been sentenced, primarily for robberies in Italy and Greece.

The Italian would have participated in a forum titled "Perspectives on the insurrectionary anarchist struggle and social war." He would also have carried out an act of support for Francisco Solar and Mónica Caballero, the Chileans arrested in Spain for their supposed participation in the placement of an explosive in the Basílica del Pilar in Zaragota.

Alfredo María Bonanno is the author of numerous essays known in libertarian and anarchist movements, also valued for having carried his thinking into practice with the "expropriation" of big businesses and "direct action" against the powerful.

This cost him being sentenced a couple times for robberies on jewelry stores and banks, but also for "apology for violence and subversive propaganda."
