While I do not condone killing a fully developed baby, I do not see the harm in getting an abortion when it hasn't developed into something that is ready to pop out of the mommy yet. When you get an abortion and the embryo is still 10 days old ot such, it has about as many cells as a dead flake of skin. So now if skin falls off you body you have just committed abortion. I know it's not the same thing but still.

I guess people will protest anything these days. Who says punks can't protest against abortion? I've seen worse. It is kind of a hypocritical thing though to hold a sign that says something about a baby being a gift from God. What happened to no God's, No Masters?

I don't know what to say about Riot Grrls. I will leave that for someone else. I will say this though. The first feminists where pro life believe it or not.

Abortion is womens rights to reproduction. being against the right to choose is very un-punk and conservative.

A joke, exactly. And a lame one at that. It's a few (probably even just one) keyboard warriors trying to cover as many bases as possible. Kind of like the anarcho-Mormons.

That's probably one of the most hypocritical things I've ever seen.

    Here's your proof.

Taken from an article in TIME mag.

    This is from wikipedia/Pro-life feminism:

Quotes from Susan B. Anthony in her newspaper "Revolution"

Well I think you might have mistaken Suffragettes with Feminists and also callously disregarded the other 99% of the non-Anglo worlds feminist movements, including anarcha-feminists that date back to before the suffragette movement in the United States...also see the French Revolution, and South American anarcha-feminists...so your assertion that the first feminists were pro-life believe it or not, is wrong in that the examples you quoted were not the first feminists (not even the first in the U.S. which can easily be traced back to the abolitionist movements) and again wrong to suppose that the examples you chose represent the global feminist movements which have a much richer and deeper heritage associated with them than just American suffrage...

I hate it when people associate pro-life with feminism. You just CAN'T be feminist if you are pro-life.

Being feminism means fighting to give women's freedom of choice concerning what they want to do with their body, not fighting for the state's ruling over women's body and taking away women's right to choose by telling them what they can or cannot do with their body. This is NOT feminism. Feminism MUST be progressive, not reactionary.

Wow. First you want to take the Mizma post that I put up in the Swedish forum and use it as your own with out giving a valid reason, and now you're being a douche bag with the feminist thing. Ooooo. I might not have gone back far enough in history. My. Fucking. Bad. Plus, I don't see how women fighting for suffrage isn't being a feminist. If a women is fighting for women rights I think that categorizes as being a feminist in a way. It might not be totally 100% feminist but in a way. Maybe 15%. It's got to be 10% at the least. The best way to show someone was wrong about something is to not be a fucking shit throwing monkey. Just point out things and educate. BELIEVE IT OR FUCKING NOT! I love to learn new things. I was going on what I read over 10 years ago, and where I read it I don't remember. I know it was in a book. I remember that much. Yeah, I know. I should have looked up the info before typing what I did. But hey, I am fucking human and I make mistakes. Holy fucking shit donkeys. I just admitted to making mistakes. We all fucking do. It's called being a fucking human being or am I WRONG about that too?

Any who. I will look up what you did type about the other parts of feminist history just so I will be a little more knowledgeable in the future.

Can't be both feminist and pro-life. That is totally ridiculous and childish. New facebook group to troll. That's seriously even worse than the punk libertarians or the anarcho capitalists. :ecouteurs:

Totally christians. They can't sell out because I doubt they were even real at any point to begin with. Honestly I don't mind christians that much, I find them to be generally amiable and nice people, but I'll admit I've only had a few bad experiences with them (but fuck the hierarchy and all). Generally I like the conversations I have with them. I know a lot of people have had terrible experiences with Christians though.

But yeah, the creator of the group says they're "giving up facebook for lent" :lmao: How punk is that?
