So I'm going to be part of a direct action tomorrow and need to know about fire alarms as I've no experience with them.
So to anyone with experience, what happens when they're pulled ? I mean the ink. I know they leave ink on your hand but how much? Like does it spray out a lot/enough to mark long sleeve clothing or will wearing a plastic glove take care of it? Or does it just sit on the handle. I just don't want surprises to throw off my ninja.

Not to nitpick, but you really should have created a new one-time account and posted through a proxy when asking things like this (for future references.) Unless there's a rule against creating dummy accounts and I'm just being too paranoid.

Maybe if I was asking about semi/full auto AK conversions or nailbombs or something like that (won't ever happen). I don't feel the need to do that for something as trivial as pulling a fire alarm.

You can never be too paranoid! We`ve already seen that you can get pulled into court just by owning anarchist literature, which is pretty trivial compared to pulling a fire alarm.

At your place I wouldn't risk. Just doesn't worth it.

Seriously. The people in jail right now have been spied on prior. For example Matt, Kteeo, and now Maddy (Oh, and Leah, even though she got out and is no longer an anarchist)... all had their facebooks/tumblr/blogs on watch while also being followed in the flesh. Once you post something, it's there, and they will use it against you. It happened and will continue to happen.
Also did you know pulling a fire alarm is considered a crime when you do it with the intent of creating panic without an actual emergency present? So this would give them the fuel to raid you.
But maybe I'm being too paranoid. I follow the rule of creating dummy accounts and using proxies when inquiring information on actions that could get me imprisoned.

    HAHA, indeed, indeed.

And yes, especially tumblr is terrible, once your pictures get re-posted there is no way of removing them(unless you are to ask all the 3284729837423 different users that have them on their blogs to remove the post).
I remember when I still had a facebook there were a lot of people posting pictures of their (illegal)SQUATS and of course themselves on demos. Which makes the job so much easier for the cops. Thank Ford for facebook and the constant need of proving how punk you are.

Let me reword that. "and Leah, even though she is now labeled a snitch and many of her former peers have stated they will harm her if she ever shows up to an A gathering."
Last I heard she moved back to New Hampshire with her family and broke off contact with her former comrades. She is receiving some disgusting threats (which I personally think is fucked up)... I guess we (using plural since I'm not the only one) shouldn't assume she changed her political views, but when she does come out of hiding and decides to be active again she will have a hard time regaining people's trust.
But yeah, this isn't about "what's so and so's current political stance?" this is about avoiding going through what she and the others went through or are currently going through.
