I want to start a little solo demo CD with me playing bass, guitar, and vocals, with a drum machine to go along with it. It's just for fun, I don't really plan to do much with the project, I just want to try it and see how it turns out. It's going to be hardcore ska kind of stuff, somewhere along the lines of Choking Victim or No Cash. I'm thinking about calling it Empathetic Sociopath. I've found a couple decent online drum machines, but not many I thought would work. It doesn't have to be too complicated or fancy, but if anyone knows of anything that might be good for this, it'd be appreciated. :D

http://www.rinki.net/pekka/monkey/ That's one of them. It wasn't really what I'm looking for, but if I can't find anything else I might give it another try. I just googled "free online drum machine" and found it and a couple others haha.

You are much better set with a program like fruity loops that can sequence much more than just drum beats, Just saying...

Out of curiosity what software are you using to record stuff? I did some stuff using old version of cubase virtual studio but I always had this problem of needing better hardware and couldn't shake the feeling that there was a delay when recording multiple channels.

I was planning to use Audacity, although I've heard there are delays on that when recording multiple channels too, so I'm not sure.. also, what is Fruity Loops? If you could link me to it, that'd be awesome.

i think the version of FL studios this guy is using is outdated because i have a version installed myslf, but i think you can get the general idea of what it is from the video.
