Well hello all ! Just registered, so let me introduce myself. I'm Lucien, a 38-year old male from Groningen, Netherlands. One of the many who left the punk movement long ago, as soon as the idiot-punk took over and the ideals and anarchist message seemed to disappear from the movement. At least, that was what happened over here in the Netherlands. Punk became just another excuse to get wasted and have riots, instead of a movement that followed ány idealogy. Nice to see "anarcho-punk" is still alive these days !
Hello Lucien, welcome to APN..although you have a very valid point about 'idiot-punk', peace-punk and anarcho-punk managed to not only stay alive but thrived in a very esoteric and underground manner...seeing very young punks appreciating bands like The Mob and Zounds is always a joyful thing for me personally....cheers
Couldn't agree more punkmar. I was very happy to see Conflict is back in the UK again. Too far for me, but a sure sound that they are still active. So let's hope the new generation that will see them there, is the next generation to propagate the still-alive ideals and beliefs !
