Do you guys get to upload for free?
Can I just post a mediafire link or a link from a different host i find on a blog into the downloads section?
Actually I can't see what difference it would make whether I upload the file myself or just link it.

Of course, the only difference is that other links files tend to get deleted and when you upload yourself it tends to last for years...

It is much better to upload it yourself. This said, mediafire just suspended my account because of a Toxik Ephex Ep and a Naked live tape. I am currently re-uploading all my files to rapidshare, but between the files for my music blog and those for the radio blog, that's just a ridiculous amount of files... So the BCT tapes might have to wait a bit.

    :/

Nice to see the tape sleeve with the full band and song listing. This is my favorite record. I mean ever. Period, vinyl, cd, cassette, whatever. Split releases are cool. This 3 split is perfection. CCM is one of those bands who do good studio stuff and live they just blow up. The LWC gig on 12/4/84 in Pisa was, from what I've seen, the greatest HC gig in the history of punk. And, fortunately, it was recorded. This tape which was reissued on cd in 2002 with a few additional tracks by Human Stench in Pittsfield, MA (we had a consortium between enterruption, Schizophrenic Records and HS and BCT where we released 1, 3/10, 6, 7, 18 and on vinyl, 16 and later 18 on vinyl too). We were really lucky, in the one U.S. tour that CCM did, 1986, they drove all the way down from something like Utah to do our show in San Diego then drove to S.F. It was incredible live as well, just as potent as this show. The original recording of the entire gig is slightly skewed. Something's over miked, maybe the vocals, and something's undermiked, maybe guitar, for every band. But there's no recording distortion and, overall, it's just a blast-o of at least 13 bands. The CCM tracks, well, all of the music on BCT, speaks for itself. If their stuff here doesn't take you to HC nirvana then I'm personally gonna drag yer snotty little pinhead outta the club. Right now. Git over here. Ya punk. I'll never forget, for some reason I'd been able to drive my folk's big 'ol dark green Chrysler to S.F. and one evening I drove with 2 punx I knew in the back and just cruised the city or something and blasted this cd so it was like 2003 or something. And as each CCM song came on I demanded to know if this was blowin' their heads off. It was a great moment in time. Antonio, bass, and a friend (the guy with the picture of just his head like shouting on the LWC tape sleeves who spoke zero English) were the first world HC punx to come to my house. On 12/11/83. With the cassette tapes of the entire LWC gig. Like fresh off the presses. WARDOGS had also handed them their demo for us to release. Antonio (great English) and Dave and I (pathetic Italian) put BCT 6 and 7 together. What was weird to Dave and I was that Antonio'd say, 'No, not that song.' for the CCM tracks. And we're lookin' at each other like, 'Another great song, not use it? Makes no sense.' Course we did it cuz the bands always have the rights to their music and their say, not us. Tho, come to think of it, I think of all 28 hours of HC on our tapes these were the only tapes made with a member of one of the bands. I REFUSE IT! also blew our minds. I've still never heard any HC band be great with not only a keyboard but whatever else it is they play, couldn't be a computer cuz it was 1983. The vocalist and his gf came to our house later in the 80's. Coincidentally, 80 world punx came over in the 80's. Finally, TRAUMATIC does an outstanding job of 60's punk. And all of the music has that distinct Italian flavor. Like scenes tend to have their own sound, Italian HC does, like Finnish HC does and L.A. punk and HC. My goal is to one day release the entire gig. Compared to the original release: CCM A; some IRI! A-, rest A; Traumatic some distort A-.
