Hi, I know I've got a silly name but it was just somthing I came up with years ago because here on my desk was a book about veganism and there is a picture on the wall of the cover of the first Dead Kennedys LP. So I made up the word decays (after the DKs) and added the word vegan. It stuck. I live in Sydney Australia. I've been a huge Punk fan since I was a young teenager back in the late 1970's. Yeah that means I'm pretty old, well 46 actually. I'm into Punk from all era's but I really love the attitude and politics of Anarcho-Punk. Even though I've been into Punk for so long I really hate hearing people say "Punk is about this...or Punk means that." I don't claim to know all the answers nor do I think I know everything about Punk. But somehow it just makes sense, and my love of the music just gets stronger every day.

I don't have many friends into punk these days. Well some of them are but don't bother keeping up with the new bands and are really still stuck in the late 70's or early 80's. I'm an artist, who mainly works in collage and 3-D assemblage. I exhibit and sell my work quite regularly in a pretty good established commercial gallery. So I make most of my money from rich people who can afford to buy expensive artworks. But I have as little to do with the arty-farty wanky side of the pretentious art scene. I also am a casual Univerity Lecturer in Painting and drawing. I really enjoy doing that and helping others to achieve what they want to achieve. My favourite artis of all time is Kurt Schwitters. I'm pretty hopeless with computers but I'm doing OK with this so far I think.

There's not a real lot of bands in Sydney that I like these days, but I do still manage to get to a few local shows. I've never been a "fashion punk" except for the millions of band t-shirts I wear, but really don't care what you look like. I think people have the right to look however they want. I love searching out e-bay and other places for records I havn't got. I am really old school and only buy vinyl. I don't even own a CD player and i wouldn't know what to do with an ipod. Its pretty rair that I can't get what I want on vinyl, even if I have to have it posted from the other side of the world.

I'm also really into reading books about Punk. There seems to be thousands coming out these days. One day I hope to write my own, on the aesthetics of Punk and how they relate back to 20th centry art movements. For example the common use of cut out letters in different fonts that probably started with the Sex Pistols logo and now appears on every 2nd punk record cover. That was first done by German Dada artists wanting to express chaos and disorder after the 1st workd war. HEY ! No one steal my idea !

I'd like to communicate with other Punk fans anywhere in the world about anything. You can contact me by e-mail if you want. xxcraigxx@hotmail.com

    Hope to hear from ya.
