    Restarts, Oi Polloi

I saw Anti-Pasti mentioned, I grew up with them, if they are anarcho, so are UK Subs and Clash.

I don't know If you laughing of the fact that you do not consider them as anarcho band or something else, but I see their first two albums as an inspiration of my self and many other bands and people... Besides, they are the first band that "touched" me! And I do not said the full Exploited 'cos they are not any more anarcho and they are shit now...

I don't listen to much straight Anarcho Punk (Anarchist Crust, D-Beat, Grind, etc is what I listen to most of anything), so here's a list of a lot of bands who are anarcho that I love most...

    Nausea
    Extinction Of Mankind
    Axegrinder
    Amebix
    Antisect
    Discharge
    Doom
    Extreme Noise Terror
    Disrupt
    Massgrave
    (early) Napalm Death
    Assuck
    Warsore
    Benumb
    Dropdead
    Capitalist Casualties
    Phobia
(early) Carcass (gore lyrics were used metaphorically)
    Electro-Hippies
    Disclose
    Totalitar
    Warcollapse
    Wolfpack/Wolfbrigade
    Skitsystem
    Martyrdod
    Iskra
    Hellshock
    Axiom
    Nuclear Death Terror
    Stormcrow
    Skaven
    Dystopia
    His Hero Is Gone
    Tragedy
    Aus Rotten

fuck it that's a good enough list though it's definitely missing a lot, and I like a lot of bands who aren't anarcho too

Most of my favourite bands have been mentioned here but a few that haven't been are The Astronauts (Genius!! Cant wait to see them in Rebellion this year), Toxik Ephex, RDF (not punk as such but anarcho all the same), P.A.I.N. and AOS3. Also loved J Church who may not have been overtly anarcho but Lance Hahn was definately influenced by anarcho bands and he was writing a book which I beleive was being serialised in MRR.

I'm not trying to be a dumbass or anything since I can see you're new here, but please try to inform yourself about the bands you're listening to. There is a huge number of threads talking about Exploited / Casualties / Crass and such bands, and I think we've explanied and proved why some of them are not good.

    Cheers !

I have never really liked Crass. I hated them for no reason back when it was cool to hate crusties and peace punks a few years ago. But since I've become more aware I come to respect what their ideals were back in the day...Just really don't like them on a musical level. But to answer this I'd say Zounds, Cress, Rudimentary Peni, Subhumans, Discharge and Conflict. I listen to a lot more crust and D-beat than pure anarcho punk. I really like Extreme Noise Terror, Amebix, Nausea and Dystopia and the 100s of "Dis" prefix bands. I'm not sure if the Pist would be anarcho, but them along with repeated Dead Kennedys listening turned me onto punk with more political depth. Aus Rotten and Oi Polloi to.

I knew someone would respond to that statement haha. Basically, when I was first getting into punk rock I was very ignorant, as was quite a few people within my scene. It was literally crusties vs. "street punks"...Thankfully, I grew up :D. My main reason for not really digging Crass is that I made the step straight from street punk to crust because I craved something more extreme in sound. I respect Crass' politics back in the day, but am perplexed about their current stances on certain issues. I am a still learning a lot and that's why I joined here.
