Nope that's from over 2 months ago apples wasn't even here, it was directed at my good friend C who posted it, and I was only partially joking which is what I mean, I've had a couple PM's asking why the fuck he's even here and I've defended him, but he isn't living up to the agreement we made and if some people are so offput by a primitivist being here and posting I think it's a problem.

I really don't intend to keep bringing it up...other people keep bringing it up...and if other people bring it up I will probably say something cause it has been put out there...I am totally fine with not talking about it at all here. Check my posts, I have repeatedly said that this is not the place ti discuss it... No one person's ideas or experience are ever interchangable with an others, another cornerstone of anarchy. If you know of a forum where ap ideas are more welcome then please tell me cause I for one can't find one... That being said I would prefer not to leave this place. I can totally tone it down even more... as long as nobody is attacking my personality or the way I communicate...please just can we be respectful? If anybody has a problem with me I would prefer if they addressed it to me instead of punkmar doing so...I am not that difficult to deal with...I don't want you to keep repeating yourself man but could you please give me a comprehensive list of what I cannot talk about here, please make it as specific as possible...this woud just be a good thing to have stickied for this site in general.

I thought this was a new thread... :ecouteurs: sorry about that... I didn't mean to come off as so sensitive...but still respect. If it really is a point of contention then just as I should not talk about it, you should not belittle and trash it...That is just self evident...

You pm'd me initially cause I posted the end civ doc (which is posted here by ungovernable already...in my opinion if anti civ is a point of contention I think it should be taken down) in thread referring to a specific segment to support a specific point. You pm'd me again just the other day in response to me sharing The Net documentary in the appropriate place...after you already told me that I could share whatever I wanted as long as it wasn't fascist in nature after I asked you if I could share Peregrine's - The Agrarian Curse album and you said you did not mind, I really want to accommodate to your wishes on this point as I said in my intro. ...that doc does not even explicitly have to do with ap critique and draws no conclusions.

Oh yeah, and there was the Kevin Tucker essay CRITIQUING Deep Green Resistance for their cop caller anti black bloc liberal leanings, something we could all learn from...that essay did not explicitly express any anti civ perspectives... I am REALLY REALLY TRYING ON MY PART MAN! There is SO much more I could be saying...

You are right about that and I am sorry. I did not intend to imply that... I was just asking you to be more respectful and questioning why you feel the need to trash someone that is so explicitly anti empire... If you have any real critique I would love to hear it but as you have said and I wholeheartedly agree, this is not the place. What is important is respectful discourse. I am not like the others in the past, I am not info dumping... I think that is an important point.

I really want to be done here and with debating this in general... can we agree on that? I have full solidarity with those who plan to choose a different way of life post collapse.

That's funny that people would want to leave the website because apples and onions posted some of his thoughts relevant to the threads he responded to. What you can't handle hearing opinions other than your own? It seems like he gets attacked for his beliefs more than anyone else here and he sticks around which I think is great. Not everyone is going to agree on everything so get over it and leave him alone. If its that big of a deal give him his own anarchoprimitive thread and DON'T READ IT if it bothers you.

Thanks alot man but I wouldn't even want anything like that. In truth this response to AP is the same NEARLY EVERYWHERE. I just think that as anarchists we can be better than that. I truly strive above all else for respectful effective communication.

I know that i would be posting in that thread and asking questions and talking and wanting to learn!

Actually despite what I said, the perfect way to solve this problem would be to create a specific section excusively for anti civ and deep ecology perspectives to be expressed...I am not advocating it strongly right now just cause I don't want to piss any body off but if others think it would be a good idea then i'd be all for it... (look! organization and primitivism coexisting together...astonishingly revolutionary! ha,ha). I would say it should be a whole exclusive section though not just a single thread because it is so vast.

Don't hurt me... :'( "Cause without respect there's gonna be nothing left!" Sorry...I don't usually listen to Leftover Crack...

Uncle Joe is a bit different, to say the least. He runs in elections, he writes incessant letters to the editor of The Age, his politics are pretty shitty 'radical' democratic liberalism.

Better shows on 3CR are @ndy and Cam's show on the SUWA (squatters and unwaged workers' airwaves) show:
    http://www.3cr.org.au/suwa

Blazing Textbooks - "Presenting anti-capitalist perspectives on current national and international education issues."
trendy autonomist marxist/anarchist/now sorta communisation influenced perspectives on education.
    http://www.3cr.org.au/blazingtextbooks

    Mujeres Latinoamericanas-
Mapuche anarchist presenting a latin american news-y type show - in spanish
    http://www.3cr.org.au/mujeres

    apples:
    What does that even mean?

umm, because primitivists have written numerous texts in which they advocate humanity returns to living as a hunter-gatherer society (after the magical mass depopulation of the planet they see as necessary to achieve such a society), in other words, they have put forward a system of ideas which forms a political, economic and/or social theory. Moreover, if we consider Primitivism merely as a 'critique' (of what exactly?), than it is a pretty poor one in my opinion. Instead, I'd argue it demonstrates the nearly text book definition of ideology - Primitivism takes real, existing problems and mystifies them.

Telepathy wouldn't work, the problem is not so much speech but abstraction. As in when something is absent we are forced to make a sign for it; a 'signifier' stands in for the 'signified', the 'real' thing itself. If anything, telepathy would be even worse as it is merely sharing thoughts - i.e. pure abstraction - a continuous exchange and interaction of immaterial signifiers - postmodernity gone mad! :o :o :o Don't tell Zerzan! Instead, we need to model ourselves after the baby in his/her shitty jouissance, a return to 'the real', to the time before our insertion into a symbolic order in which we do nothing but piss ourselves and be happy. Such is, from my memory, the underlying theme of Zerzan's argument; and before you get all 'critical', just remember Derrick Jensen says salmon talk to him and tell him to blow up dams. Does Zerzan's arguments make less sense? No? Then you can't disagree.

I have an Uncle Joe, well...erm...had. He passed away on Black Friday. Amazing guy. While in the hospital, he was reading a bible, and the nurse asked "Ah, are you looking for some last minute salvation?" and he replied, "Naw, I'm looking for any loopholes in this damn thing."

And definitely check it out. My dad's friends show is called "The Great Leap Forward with John Malkin." It's about punk rock, anarchism and spirituality. He interviewed me once, but I was somewhat of an anarcho noob, and I'm glad he didn't post the interview in the archives, like he said he was going to. My dumb stupid voice went over the airwaves, but it wasn't documented. Whew.
He wants to do a follow up interview, which I'm sure I'd be 100% more eloquent and articulate in, but I'm also sure a couple years from now, I'll be saying the same thing that I'm saying now about it.

Well, thanks for your clarification, but I had already figured that telepathy doesn't really work (been trying it with my cat for years). However, wouldn't telepathy be the absence of the signifying? If it worked, I suppose the signifyer would be some chemical reaction in your brain and therefore might not be that far off a phonetic word.
I can't stand post-modernists. When I was at university, a young, bold, promising lad, they basically controlled all the lit classes. They had a motto: "Identity is not monolythic" which they kept saying over and over and used as a poor rhetorical tool to counterbalance any argument. And they hate any mention of collective oppressions since they see them as based on a rigid symbolic structure whereas we are part of a web of multiple, interrelated indentities. :o
I know people pissing themselves and they look happy enough. Hell, my grandma has diapers which she fills all day along and she doesn't seem to mind at all.
I don't get your last sentence... Are you being mean to me? Or is it some kind of Aussie humour I don't get despite numerous viewing of the Reef and Black Water? Do I have to challenge you to a medieval duel? \m/

Back to topic though, you can listen to all the radio shows of Radio Libertaire on their website http://rl.federation-anarchiste.org/. Shows can be listened to through podcast or downloaded. They are all in French obviously but for those interested the show Tribuna Latino Americana, which has been going for 30 years, is in French and Spanish. It's been done by an old anarchist unionist from Chile who had to leave the country when because Pinochet's regime had become physical with hime (won't get into the details). He is a really fine bloke and has been really involved with the Mapuche's struggle with his compañera (she is the sound engineer of the show). Tribuna Latino Americana takes place on every other saturday nights from 7 to 9.
