    Yeah, I agree with that punkmar. That statement curbs a lot of liberal tendencies.

    What a crock of shit. If you cared to read 'punkrockanarchy_666's statement, he writes that he is "full white" and states his desire to use the term 'n****r' to refer to someone who is "ignorant dirty and just plain DUMB", in other words, using a (derogatory) term for black people to refer to one's perceived lack of intelligence and cleanliness. You know, like the traditional bigoted use of this sort of language whereby one's skin colour is synonymous with certain personal traits and intelligence.

    You seem to infer that I take a particular offense to the word per se. As in, if I was in a position to do so, I'd go around removing this word from, say, Ja Rule's back collection. This is not the case. But it is the case that some white kid calling stupid people 'n****rs' is inappropriate.

    Moreover, considering usual protocol is to ban the user and delete the post, by editing the post rather than removing I actually didn't 'sweep it under the rug', quite the opposite it would appear considering you've now decided to comment on it 4 months later.

    Do you care to explain how editing a post of some white dude calling people 'n****rs' is so disgustingly bourgeois? And how is being 'bourgeois' a bad thing from yr perspective, given yr the one who advocates voting for them?

    Oh well, time to back to the ivory tower for a soy chai latte and my monthly Kristeva discussion circle; would you care to come to a forum I'm putting on tonight? Its on 'Spivak, Occupy and African babies: semiotic intersectionality and postcolonial military intervention', canapes and drinks from six. It'll be great, we've got hand crafted jamón from Wallmapu; sustainable, biodymanic, recyclable goats cheese; a sexy little gamay hand picked and crushed by Moroccan orphans and fermented in reclaimed biodynamic cedar casks for just the right balance of condescending tannins, pretentious notes on the nose, and a fully developed palate of self-righteousness; and a lovely little Tasmanian prosecco produced in accordance with the oral her-stories of the Palawa. It'll be a blast.

    It is a social construct and he is using it how it has historically functioned. :lmao:

    First of all, you don't speak for anyone but yourself. Your "warning" means nothing to me. Your "authority" means nothing to me. I did nothing wrong. I said nothing racist. That is clear for everyone to read. I have a right to give my opinion. Don't like it? Don't read it. Butcher is a big boy, he doesn't need anyone defending him, he can do that himself.

    Y quien tene el privilegio aqui, eh? Todos nosotros, o solo los blancos? No haga suposiciones!

    He was referring to post you told him he was white privledge because he chose to censor it because it was hate speech. I dont think hate speech should be tolerated just like capitalist speech and lies should not be tolerated.

    Pues definitivamente nadien, todos los que tengan un problema con los acuerdos collectivos del sitio pueden usar muy facilmente la puerta, y yo no soy blanco compañero asi es que saquese esa palabrita de la boca por favor. Si uso una palabra racista y el advertimiento es para usted, si lo vuelve a hacer se le pedira que se valla sencillamente. Aqui no somos liberales, a la mejor se sentiria usted mucho mas comodo con ellos...

    I used to be racist, or at least Islamophobic when I was around 14-16. I can tell you exactly why in a PM because I don't want to spill out my entire fucking life story on a public message-board, but long story short;

    I was scared and ignorant and easily manipulated by the media.

    I don't know if you're being sarcastic, but as I said, PM me if you want a more complete story. It's not like I was in any racist group or ever even said anything to anyone, I was just a little ignorant dumbfuck.

    I was born in Germany but grew up in South Africa during the aparthate era. I was never a self-proclaimed racist but being in an all-white school at the time you got swept along with the current. Then I got into punk at age 14 (Anti-Nowhere League, Exploited,etc), and then I started listening to Crass, Conflict, Subhumans (you know, punks with something to say) and that completely changed my way of thinking. I became a total rebel & also got others at school turned on to punk and its message. Later in high school we used to take part in the local riots, dodging rubber bullets, vandalyzing shops and cars, becoming enemies of the state HAHA. So yeah, punk turned me around. \m/

    What's up is we do not tolerate hate speech, sexist or misogynist bullshit, and of course goes without saying racist mind diarrhea...if any member posts shit like that it is immediate grounds for removal and the offending post will be moved to the trash or edited and a warning given for newbies...that's how this forum was concensed upon by the collective at it's beginning..please read the 'who are we' forum charter to have a better idea..

    I may have been dumb when I was a kid, thinking the word "gay" is funny, and I was brainwashed by the media to think everyone from the middle east is a terrorist. But I grew up and realized that neither of those things are true.
