Cool deal there, I have friends that are of different religions or spiritualities and they'll share how their beliefs work rather than trying to convert me. Though last time someone tried forcing me to convert to Christianity the fucker started to harras me when I refused. Since then (which was end of 2010/beginning of 2011) I get called retarded, faggot, etc by this lil shit and i'm not the one that throws the first rock when he sees me.

Tho I found it funny when he called me a fag and I calmly called him a closet case how much he wigged out like a kid having a temper tantrum in a supermarket.

So really doesn't matter to me if someones atheist, agnostic, christian, pagan, etc. Disrespect me and you get what you give in return.

If I had posted that on PIX board they would have all jumped on it and there would be anywhere from 3-5-10 pages of non constructive bickering following... :lmao: seriously, this community is so much healthier then the one over there. Vid tomorrow.

Also, this: "Punk became a movement cause we all felt lost. Then the leaders sold out and we all paid the cost." is essentially what the problem is with Deep Green Resistance in a nutshell, a CrassNut shell. That's one tasty nut!

Most of them are yeah. Or i've noticed a lot of punks no matter what flavor tend to be atheist or agnostic.

Some anarcho and crust types do follow paganism or wicca but like with any religion I personally say "To each their own" since i'm not one to judge how someone is like that.

No matter what religion and if they're punk or not some people are down to earth despite beliefs and some are just outright ignorant and hostile. 50/50 on that really so it's best not to call how they are based on differences like that in my opinion.

Odd example i'll toss out here. Before I been bouncing back and forth between Philly and my hometown of State College a local Food Not Bombs chapter started in State College. They were meeting in the cafe area of a local methodist church. The pastor whom i've talked to when stopping in for a cup of coffee was there and apparently she knew what Food Not Bombs was down to every detail. Left after having a cup rather shocked that she had no problem compared to a lot of other christians who would not approve due to differences.

There are too many religions. It's like warfare, a contest and I honestly don't give a fuck if religion has a stance in punk. I am not obligated to tell others what to say or think, but I use logic instead of using religion as a crutch.

The vid I was referring to. Expressing the desire to not be associated with a movement in question. Nothing against islamic punks.

Yeah, and Novatore is definitely one of my heros as well, my god... what an amazing life.

The band Al-Thawra is crust with middle eastern instruments mixed in, and some electronics as well. It's pretty cool. Most of their songs are about the Palestinian Struggle though.

There may be to many dogmatic institutional means of social control and warfare. However there MUST be a vast myriad of spiritual paths.

First post right here...religion comes in many forms. My personal devotion to the punk-anarchist lifestyle is sort of a religion. But I don't think it was ever better said than in the actual definition: a practice of worshiping a defined set of orders.

Yes, that would be a definition of religion with negative connotations, imbued with critique of organized, hierarchical spirituality and systematic domination.
    And welcome!

Fuck religion! The only people I acknowledge are atheists because religion is ignorance and stupidity and there is no god anyway.

i have my own beliefs, and they're patently NOT following any set organisation of religion. i'm an ecclectic neo-pagan/heathen, and while there are several schools of thought that inspire me, i don't take any of them as an ultimate answer, nor do i hold any of my beliefs as unchangable.

that said, fuck christians. i'd love to see them heaped in a pile and burned on the ashes of their churches.
