    Anarcho Emo Movement

This is what comes after Post-Left Anarchism:

Anarcho Emo is a term often used when describing people within the emo culture who rebel against the new direction the "Emo Scene" is going. They hold an opinion that the emo scene of today is moving further and further away from the main core of emo music, emo fashion and emo sub-culture. The term has recently been used on facebook, but is still just a vague expression of those who like old-school emotive hardcore and want to bring the "Real Emocore" back.

The origin of the movement started out in 2010. Very few people are a part of this movement, and very few know of it. The anarcho emo movement is all about the mix of emotive hardcore and punk rock. Even tho the music genres are related, the cultures can differ greatly. The whole point is to reorganize and find the balance between the dark emotion-focused aspect of the emo sub-culture and the rebelling, hardcore style of punk.

Some of the aspects of the Anarcho Emo movement is to be self-determined and respect other people's self-determination. Bowing down to society is considered to be mundane, instead they stand up for themselves and are true and honest to themselves. Another key-aspect that is inherited from Punk is Anti-Fashion. A principal guideline to this fashion is to not dress a certain way just because people command so but instead dress however they wish; most who are closer to the old school culture, would prefer DIY (Do It Yourself) Clothing. Why is it called Anarcho Emo? The answer is simple. Anarcho Emo is a word influenced by Anarcho Punk or music promoting Anarchy. This doesn't necessarily mean that one supports Anarchism; it is more of a freedom of the mind and personal freedom attitude. That you are free to be whoever you want without being judged as a person worth less than others. You shouldn't be afraid to be yourself and you shouldn't be afraid of living your life the way you you want. Most people within the movement look at this society as judgemental over for people who dress differently or are attracted to what's different from what the majority is attracted to.

Most would listen to whatever they want, but the movement itself would be more involved in Punk/Emo/Goth/Metal/Rock music. Bands such as Sex Pistols, Rites Of Spring, Gray Matter, NOFX, The Descendents, Acidez, The Unseen, The Ramones and million others.

The Anarcho Emo Movement do not want to be associated with Self-Harm, Depression or Suicide. Rather focusing the beauty of this world that is romantic and stunning, hiding behind the veil of darkness that most people do not see.

Personally I don't ses this so much as a label for for people so much as I see it a label of a philosophy that is relevant. No different than the labeling ideologies for the sake of explaining them more easily.

Either way I gave a presentation on something similar to this years ago in high school. Seems pretty cool that there is a small movement of sorts that grew out of the "old school" emo ideologies. I always thought the culture had some cool ideas and principles.

On second thought,I take that back.Yes the idea is good, and I support it,but in order to say you're "anarcho-" something or another, you gotta be an anarchist. It's like Revleft;they have tendencies like "Anarcho-Stalinist" and it's just stupid

I used to be into a lot of old school emo like Indian Summer and shit like that. I can dig it.

And labels aren't always necessary but they are a convenient way to refer to a set of ideas.

Creating a label and slapping it on a philosophy doesn't make it a "movement". I can't see any reference to this "movement" anywhere else. Is it just something somebody made up?

    I think so...

    But then again...
I was thinking one day about how anyone can attach the world Anarch@ to anything... and then i was like can you attach it to Emo? and i looked around and found the above...mmm

I think i'm gonna start using it, when i meet or talk to peeps who call themselves Emo, hopefully they will look into what the world Anarch@ is n what it means...

I think there is too much ability to exploit the identity presented by these philosophies or labels
