What is the point of this forum if it does not organize and promote action ? It only spreads the ideas to those that are looking for them. It allows the spread of opinions about Anarchism but it does not spread Anarchy. It allows us to discuss current events with the objective lens of an anarchist , but in most cases they do not pertain to Anarchy but to the overthrow of a particular government in favor of another false democracy. It either talks about that or social injustice, but this does nothing if we do not act.

Oh no, not another anarchist superhero who just registered and know nothing about this forum yet he already thinks we are doing nothing...

Why don't you propose some real actions ? Good luck, this forum is international and we are everywhere around the world. If you want action join a local anarchist group, this is an INTERNATIONAL forum and this is exactly the point of it : organizing on a worldwide scale.

"not pertain to Anarchy but to the overthrow of a particular government in favor of another false democracy"
Wow you obviously don't understand anything about this forum.

So why don't you propose some real actions ? "It is better to light a candle than to complaint about the darkness"

THERE IS NO LOCAL ANARCHIST GROUP, believe me if there was i would join it. Im a highschool student i dont know what to do, what international efforts does this forum engage in ?. You're right i dont know much about the forum but from what ive seen its about belittling the intelligence of everyone who hasnt read enough bakunin or whoever you read. The reason i posted this is that im tired of doing nothing but i dont know anyone who is doing anything, and I cant do anything alone except wind up in jail or get killed.

I'm also in High School and post on this forum semi-regularly.

Get into the culture. Learn about the Music and Literature around Anarchy. Talk about Anarchy and I can tell you, Facebook is reallly great about that (I piss people off pretty much once a month and get my views sharpened through this). Spread it to other people. Try to spread it. Graffiti desks and lockers.

Also, join Debate. You won't get to choose your arguments but certain ones like Capiltism might benifit you and you will learn the art of arguments. One thing my school hates is that freak with the fucked up hair debating for them :lmao:.

Join the Young Democrats/Liberals club. Again, we may gain more comrades through this if you are loud about your ideas.

And question Social Studies, Health and English CONSTANTLY when they say something against Anarchy. You might feel nervous or seem stupid but just say that fucking thought.

A lot of this is about recruitment, but hell if you have no one around you this is better than nothing.

Ok i can understand your frustration, but trust me we are doing as much as we can but we don't live close enough to organize something on the terrain, thats why i was referring you to local anarchist organisation.

As the name says we focus on the anarcho-punk scene, our main objective is to organize the distribution of this music and make a community by and for anarcho-punks... The rest of the debates are just about discussing politics because we believe it is very important to politize the punk scene and spread education on anarchism... We do make projects for the anarcho-punk scene, APN Compilation is a very good example of a project that was created by this community... We are also planning to make a zine.

This community belongs to their members, we started it and gave tools to the community to organize and communicate with each others, now it's up to the members to decide what use they can get out of this community. If you have an idea of a serious project you can suggest it, but trust me everyone here is doing what they can and we are all active on the terrain, not just behind our computers.

This is the first time ive seen positive criticism on one of these threads, i appreciate it. Im into the culture and music as much as my town allows. I always speak out in class. I have friends that are into the music but dont have the cahones for the culture. Im really just looking for organized radical involvement, in my eyes this is the best time for a revolution in America considering the recession and the disenfranchisement it causes among the general population.

As already noted by ungov, organising 'action' thru this forum has a number of nearly insurmountable difficulties, firstly that we live all over the place; and secondly, that we only know each other via the internetz. However, that shouldn't be taken as an indication that we don't organise or do anything outside of this forum (as an example-in the least self-aggrandising way possible :ecouteurs: - i'm currently involved with this group, edit a roughly bi-monthly newspaper and previously co-edited a now dead anarchist journal/zine, amongst shit load of other things, not all of them any good - plus there are obvious reasons why others may not be so forthcoming with their activities).

Beyond that, talking through yr politics, reading about stuff other anarchists in other parts of the world are involved/interested in, etc, imho, are as important as action; aims determines strategy which determines action. Moreover, i think this forum has been good for some ppl (probably not for others), often young ppl in small towns with no anarchist groups or whatever, to (i don't know how to phrase this without sounding like a hippie..) find some validation of their politics thru finding others with common politics. Well i guess i hope we've done that sometimes, and if so, that's valuable within itself.

As for the lack of a local anarchist group and organising, its probably worth bearing in mind that most of the groups i've been involved in has usually been 3-4 active members, a lot of anarchist/'radical' groups in australia are tiny handfuls of ppl (and i guess is the same in a lot of places in the US), so you don't need many ppl to do shit; but you probably do need to find some ppl...
As we are so few, often anarchists may be involved with other things rather than an explicitly anarchist group. For example, here is Aus anarchists can be found in unions, Indigenous solidarity groups, unemployed workers' groups, community radio, etc. The groups in yr town may be different but there may be an anarchist or two in yr town, you've just not met them yet. Perhaps it'd be worthwhile getting involved in groups/campaigns/etc where, if they exist, they could be hiding. ;) Involve yrself in things where yr likely to meet like minded or sympathetic ppl.

Of course you can just try and start shit yrself, follow some of SOADcore's suggestions, but also bear in mind that you actually want to contact the ppl who see and like yr graffiti or whatever, yr trying to build a group capable of action after all. Sometimes its best just to be totally open and start something daft like an anarchist reading group or whatever, then when you poster the shit outta yr town with yr rad anarchist agitprop you can add a blog and email addy for yr reading group or whatever (although maybe its better to split these up and have anon anarchist graffiti and distro flyers and posters thru legal channels - depends on how big yr town is, and if the cops are bored enough to chase ppl for postering, etc).

I agree with alot of the posts on here that there can be no real "change" so to speak, because this page is global, but you can just do things yourself to promote whatever form of Anarchy you desire......An army of one can be strong, and in most cases is more effective than a large group, lone Wolf mentality goes along way.........
