what are your views on Techo/Electronica music? keep in mind that they too are mostly an underground scene.
I personally am ok with it...I don't listen to it unless in rare occasions (like now)

I like some electronic music, mostly experimental art music of differnt kinds, the kind of music you can't dance to and that to be fully apreciated requires a big speaker concert. I've made one piece like that myself, that i've performed live in a speaker concert once. It was very a very cool experience! I sometimes go to concerts like that where everyone just sits in the middle of a bunch of speakers with their eyes closed. Possibly as far from a moshpit you can come :p

Does dubstep count as techno or electronic? I listen to a lot of dubstep when I'm high. I opt out of anything made with a laptop otherwise.

like all genres of music, it has its good and bad. I like it when i want to hear it, but when its forced on me i dont like it so much. I like the stuff that sounds creatibve and unique, and as far as beats i genrally prefer house beats to drum n bass or. The only subgenre i can say i hate is happy hardcore... :p Atari Teenage Riot is a good example of punk and techno combined in an interesting (though imo hard to listen too) experiment.

I listen to quite a lot of electronica, usually towards the industrial end of the spectrum,
FLA , skinny puppy , VNV Nation , Soman etc.

music does not have to have guitars in it for me it just has to grab me.

I like old-school industrial and EBM a lot. Wumpscut, Skinny Puppy, Front 242, Nitzer EBB, Throbbing Gristle, Nurse With Wounds and all that.

Apart from that i like some of the newer stuff like VNV Nation, Assemblage 23, Amduscia and such, but i'm quite picky, as most of the stuff coming out after that scene got mainstream has been crap.

I like some Dub, Break-Beat and such too, and then i play guitar for a Electronica artist called Ras Bolding. Minimal Electro, Electroclash, Synth Pop, Electronica and such is awesome.

I listen to a bit of electronic music, e.g. Minuit, Ladytron, The Knife, IAMX. But trance and that I just find incredibly boring.

When I was younger I used to listen to alot of trance but I went off that as soon as I got into punk. I listen to tons of electronic music now but its all more experimental than dance music.

One thing I've really been getting into is music made from circuit bent toys, I think it really brings another dimension to DIY music and I've been experimenting with it somewhat myself.

    Here's a couple of examples:

    Gannon:

    Dream into Dust:

And here's one of my earliest attempts at circuit bending:

Crystal Castles also use a circuit bent atari in some of their songs.
