So apparently theres this huge rage about this hardcore skater band from NY, and everyone is calling them the new punk scene and hardcore revival and all that shit. You can check them out yourselves

That's their latest video, people put them up there with Trash Talk and stuff like that, they just played with 86 Mentality at Trocadero for 26 bucks in my town, thank god I didn't waste my money .

I can't really say I like them because all they talk about is doing drugs, drinking, sex, and skating. They are kind of arrogant, here's them in an interview

If this is the new punk scene then they must be mistaken because this sounds like pure hipstercore. Seriously.
    :ecouteurs:

Not to confuse anybody, I like smoking and drinking , sex and partying, but what's that go to do with how punk you are?

    What do you guys think?

If I paid attention to every band who is apparently "the future of punk" then I would be suffering from serious depression by now. People seem to think punk (or any genre, movement or scene) is linear in nature and, well, that isn't how it works. Punk has been branching off, merging with other genres and evolving into many different areas for years, there is no one "punk scene" nor is there any one future regarding punk rock. Like what you like, dislike what you dislike and don't pay any attention to the subculture claimed to be attached to it.

Damn, I'm so sick and tied of the new hipstercore punk scene! It's all about being an individualist, by acting like an asshole and a wannabe-nihilist. Theese kids only care about one thing: comsumerism. They think they are so special, but they are only being special within the frames of capitalism and neoliberalism. I guess that's whis Lady Gaga is posing with Gism-patches, and fucking burberry made this: http://coolspotters.com/clothing/burber ... her-jacket

    Fuck the "creative class"!

I just love how they call hipsters anti-consumerists because they only shop at thrift stores and American Eagle, and Urban Outfitters?????? :lmao:

Fuck them. Fuck Burberry also, the punk style has been marketed by big noncreative fashion industries goingon decades it's no suprise.

And yes, I now see how these derp faces are total consumers, " Get a skateboard, buy some skinny jeans, some t shirts, buy a leather jacket, buy some Vans, buy some hipster shades, buys some malt liquor, buy expensive ass tickets to the new show, you are punk."
