The point is that there is a gun pointed to the back of the pigs head which implies rape by threat of violence...whether it is in jest or not is irrelevant, as it is in poor taste and not representative of (E)quality for all under anarchism.

 

I agree it is in poor taste, but where do you draw the line? I love sick jokes, but it depends on who's telling them, it either comes from good humour or bad humour, if you wear that t-shirt and actively look for cops to rape then yea I agree, its not a uniform for rapists or anything... but if i wear it I know that is is a joke, and most people who see it will know I'm not a 'cop fucker' its just a joke in bad taste...

Remembering the average hosts here in "JVA Stadelheim" (the same prison where the youthful members of munichs "white rose" resistance group were executed 1943), I guess there is more than one reason why they hide in a prison... no fun I tell you!

 

Oh christ. It's the same sort of thing as a sports t-shirt that presents one mascot standing over the bloodied corpse of that of its opposing team's, or the sort of racist patriotic t-shirts that showed up in certain truck stops in the US during the first Gulf War. It may be humor that is directed at an enemy that we can agree on, but it is a certain sort of would-be alpha male, lowest common denominator humor that comes from the very same impulses that created the mess that we live in in the first place. It may be meant lightly, but to consider the symbolism that this t-shirt's message is convoyed with to be light or frivolous should probably prompt one to reconsider one's priorities. That being said, it's a shitty T-shirt design, and not actually worth the thought that any one of us has put into it. The anarchist who spends money to buy it probably also enjoys blowing up frogs with firecrackers duct taped to their legs.

I personally think it's funny but the image is pretty badly illustrated. But I'm sure we all have band shirts with images of death, killing kids, and other sterotypical 'evil' things. Although it may not necessarily be making a joke out of the topic but it's still exploiting them by using the image. Some websites and bands sell their merch for non-profit but some don't. So the ones that don't are taking these googled images or however else they got them, printing them on shirts and then selling them for a profit. Not that that's necessarily awful because I understand you know people need money, they want to get their name out their with their music and etc...but whatever that image is, there isn't much of a difference between that and all the other shit we all probably wear.

I said 'all probably'. I don't mean that we all look the same. You should try seeing my point rather than pointing out any little thing you can find a problem with that doesn't have to due with the general argument.

 

You said what you said, don't try to sugarcoat it. If that's the way you like to dress fine...but don't assume everybody does or that people are necessarily being hypocritical by taking offense to the image. Speaking in generalities like that is way too sloppy.

 

Oh get over it. I know what I meant and by my last few statements I'm making it known that No, I wasn't saying every last one of us dresses like this and has to own something of this nature...but come on, you're going to honestly tell me that a lot of people on here don't own something along those lines? Not to say it's a bad thing and not saying every last one of us does, but I'm sure theres a pretty high percentage of people that do. And if you think otherwise...well...that's pretty stupid.

And as far as being a fucking stupid t-shirt, its not resolved in the slightest, the shirt in question is still available and represents us all as a collective...I don't know what you're comfortable with but I'm not ok with it one bit...so no I won't shut my mouth about it.....dispensa.

As such, I agree that its continued availability reflects upon the site, and the collective; thus i think it'd be worth putting forward a motion to cease selling it under the apn banner, maybe in the mod forums. I don't see how telling ppl they are fashion slaves works towards the aim of removing this shitty t-shirt from sale.
