So sorry for the mixing, two qoutes instead:

As long as parents and teachers in general shall fall under the established rule, it is clear that politics and modes of government will educate and infect us all. They poison our minds, before we can resist, or so much as suspect their malignity. Like the barbarous directors of the Eastern seraglios, they deprive us of our vitality, and fit us for their despicable employment from the cradle.
    - William Godwin

We anarchists do not want to emancipate the people; we want the people to emancipate themselves.
    - Errico Malatesta

Great part of a student leaders speech at a washington protest against the vietnam war at the time of the nixon regime, great quote! Will have to find out his name again.

And even if the author is wrong in his details - with this piece he's just right... that's why I'm Anarchist.

In all history there is no war which was not hatched by the governments, the governments alone, independent of the interests of the people, to whom war is always pernicious even when successful.-Leo Tolstoy.

There are different forms of anarchy and different currents in it. I must, first say very simply what anarchy I have in view. By anarchy I mean first an absolute rejection of violence. -Jacques Ellul

Jesus antagonised the "system" ruled by Satan: "He sent me forth to preach a release to the captives, to send the crushed ones away with a release." (Luke 4:18,19, John 12:31, 14:30, 16:11, 17:16, 18:36).

Jesus was against human leadership (Matthew 23:8-12), and he refused to be made king (Matthew 4:8-10 John 6:15).

The first Christians opposed the primacy of the State: "We must obey God as ruler rather than men" (Acts 4:19, 5:29, 1 Corinthians 6:1-6)

"Stripping the governments and the authorities bare, he exhibited them in open public as conquered, leading them in a triumphal procession by means of it." (Colossians 2:15).

To seek rule by man is to reject the rule of God (1 Samuel 8).

"The kingdom of god is within you"-Leo Tolstoy

it's really comical to see supposed 'egalitarians' discuss how someone is not welcomed because of their personal affiliations with fame and types of 'mainstream' music.
criticizing someone because they wear a certain article of clothing is an elitist notion, and is very hypocritical for supposed 'anaracho-punks.'
Perhaps the stylist that chose this piece of clothing for Lil Wayne may inspire Lil Wayne to actually check out a few of the bands patched on his vest, and perhaps some of this music will influence his future lyric writing, or perhaps this display of band names might put some of this music in the playlists of some Lil Wayne followers. That would be AMAZING if you ask me.
I don't know why you all care so much about how EXCLUSIVE punk is. I would personally LOVE it if anarchist/forward thinking punk bands were widely accepted and appreciated. If more of these punk bands received more 'mainstream' attention, then more people would have their eyes opened to the ideals that I hold, and that would make me really happy.

Punk's not a club, stop rejecting members. You hypocrites. You elitists.

You think most crust punks don't TRY and look crusty?
Half the people that listen to those bands POSE every day.
Crust has adopted an image, and punks wake up every day and put on specifically chosen crustie looking clothing. They can wear a blank shirt. They can wear a blank pair of pants every day, but then they wouldn't LOOK punk.
Punks is posers. Sew more patches on your uniforms because punk is fashion.
True punks, in it for the music, don't need costumes, or uniforms to validate their position within a scene.

If he renounced his old ways and actually made a change in his lifestyle, I'd be all for it. But all he did is wear the clothes at a photoshoot for some commerical magazine, which IS demeaning to Crust/Punk...besides, do you REALLY think he's ever even heard any of those bands music?

You REALLY fucking missed the point there, buddy. If someone wants to look Crusty or charged up or whatever, but also live the lifestyle, and want to make a positive change in the world, etc, that's completely different from just throwing on Amebix and Anti Cimex patches for a photoshoot while continuing to make disgusting amounts of cash and play commercialized crap music (and almost certainly never having actually heard Amebix and Anti Cimex and all the others). I wear black jeans and a black jacket covered in band patches, I wear band shirts too, I have long dirty hair and bad hygiene, but I also believe in the ideals behind the music, I boycott multinationals/big business, I don't eat any meat whatsoever, I want the world to get better, etc. Also, if someone's in it for the music, AND decides to look the part, why the fuck do you care? It's not posing unless you aren't real about the music and message.
