if anti-speciesism is to be considered political correctness taken too far, then so are anti-racism, anti-sexism and every other form of opposing discrimination of oppression. guess for some of the choir i'm allegedly preaching to, it's too hard dropping the anthropocentric values they were fed with a spoon from childhood on, because giving up a flavor would do them more harm than actually being consequent on an ethical level. it's easy rejecting racism and sexism if you're not born into an environment that indoctrinates you to think this way -which is the case for most of us here- however try to make an effort to question and if necessary -as is in this case- eradicate traditional values that are still upheld by your family, friends and peers - yes, even those who call themselves anarchists. if you're not vegan / anti-speciesist, you're your every exploited animal's usurper.

or what? is it cool now to call yourself an anarchist and at the same time "not give a fuck"? i thought actually giving a fuck is what anarchism is about, at times it even seems we're the only ones who still do. but then again, if you even "don't care about self destruction anymore", then what's the use, right?

    no slaves, no masters!

I'm actually not an anarchist (per se) so there ya go. But for the record, I am vegetarian as I've previously stated, you just don't seem to get it: ITS A FUCKING LIFESTYLE CHOICE! I've heard the same shit anti meat propaganda over and over and over again. But accept reality, not everyone is going to stop eating meat because animal industry collapses. People will still hunt for there food post capitalism, many people are desensitized from killing animals because they've been forced to do so to ensure survival. I'll go so far to say you have a very city based view on the subject, if you grew up in the country where the majority of your vegetables are grown you will see that many farmers livelihoods require animals dung for use as fertilizer as well as animals themselves for food. The same logic you place on the importance of animals could be attributed to the slavery involved in the production of coffee where small children are paid peanuts to harvest coffee beans, that doesn't mean I'm going to stop drinking coffee just as people aren't going to stop eating meat.

Think realistically: the amount of time you put into "Saving the Animals" could be put into bringing about a revolution (through VIOLENCE for Snookams)

p.s I disagree with Sakevi's retarded behaviour of flaming people in the audience/hitting them with clubs etc. but GISM are still a magnificent band

You're living in an alternate reality if you think that the slander of animals, by the way of referring to cops as pigs, is an issue that human beings should be legitimately concerned with.

But if you're just fucking around, keep up the good work.

I think the grey zone between spoonfed anthropocentric view and postmodern sympathetic inhibition to kill/use animals is an interesting aspect if we are considering our place on this planet.
I can't pretend to have a clue, on one side I am disgusted by the atrocities of the food industry, on the other side I agree with Kaaos: It's a fucking life style choice to become vegetarian/vegan - without the consequent attitude it changes nothing. And what is the right attitude in times most city kids grow up without ever seeing a real animal? I don't know.
But anthropocentric as I am now, I am still more concerned by the coffee slaves of my own species - kind of an order of priorities, so I boycott the corporate dealers and pay more for stuff of the alternative/fair market producers.
And besides the fundamentalism/don't-give-a-fuck ignorance it's important and necessary to discuss the matter how we act and interact with our surrounding - just to evade the crown of creation...

I dont deny that discussion is necessary regarding human relations with animals but please keep it free of lifestyle politics. You can make a point without demanding everyone become vegetarian/vegan for a quick solution to the problem, it doesn't work like that.

You do know that my signature is a Black Flag quote, right? I use it because for a long time, that basically was my attitude (towards my own life, I've always cared about the political stuff). And I'm against slaughterhouses and vivisection and the exploitation of animals as much as anyone else, but I'm not gonna go and say we shouldn't call cops pigs because well, there are much more important things to worry about (like, say, almost anything), and it's not like pigs are going to be hurt by someone calling a cop a pig, this really isn't the same thing as homophobic or racist slurs at all. And as for eating meat, I am a vegetarian, simply because the idea of eating an animals flesh disturbs me/freaks me out-I recognize that it's natural for animals to eat eachother, so a human eating cows or pigs doesn't bother me, what bothers me is how many of those animals were farmed and made into that meat. Also, I'm not 100% anarchist anyways. I'm extreme left and extreme libertarian, and I agree with most anarchist ideas, but there seem to be a few ideas among most (or at least most that I've encountered) anarchists I disagree with, and well I definitely am against authority, I still think something should be set up to help things run smoothly-just something to actually HELP people, not control and overpower them.

...Also, because I'm not offended by every little thing you assume I don't give a fuck? :@

You seem to be more concerned with creating dividing lines then working towards a revolution. good job, i'll race you around the next circle...

If I ran into a burning building and could either save a human or a cat,
then I would save the human. I guess I'm a speciesist

A man, carrying a duck, walks up to a police officer.
The man says, “I’m gonna kill this pig.”
The cop says, “That’s a duck.”
The man replies, “I wasn’t talking to you.”
