One day i just thought -why dont to make a international zine, where activists from different countries will write something about their own riot and the riot of the others ? Not everyone knows english well enough to look through foreign web sites and read about anarcho moverments in other countries. I think it's a good way to tell people in the world what they can't find out from sites , something about situation in your country not only protests against police ,information about that often appears in local sites , maybe your achivements which you got by means of anarchy, your local movement and opposition. english version could be translated in your native language, i think that most of activists will read this 'yet not existent zine'

so what do you think about it and would you take part in it?

Perhaps we should first concentrate on the webpage. Perhaps a few months later, if this is growing we could start other projects like zines or radios.

I like all this ideas. By the way, do you mean riot or struggle? You cannot rioting the whole day. And we should write about topics wich we stand f o r, too. We could include interviews with bands, anarchopunk news... Everybody could write for it and perhaps it´s better to offer it as free download (e.g. pdf or similar open source file), so erverybody who is interested could print it out.

I've actually gotten this idea myself last week or so.
My idea was primarily to just get the 'alternative youth(ful)' and ask them to speak about their problems/victories, simply put personal stories. On the flipside the idea was also to incorporate that which keeps them busy, etc. It's still a long shot from being realised and the idea is to do it in Dutch, so it wouldn't be much help for on here, methinks, as I don't see a lot of Dutch-speaking individuals on here (actively, that is).
I could use some pointers from people who have experience with zines etc and I'd happily contribute the things that I come across and solve or circumvent.

Yes i agree with you on this....

I'm already planning to make a webzine for anarcho-punk.net.... Either a daily news zine or an aperiodic webzine. We could include it right into the forum, and display the last news on the top of the page (like we are doing on http://forums.resistance.tk .... but the website is down right now, should be back in a few hours). We can also make a frontpage that will display the webzine articles from the forum (like we are doing on http://webzine.resistance.tk).
I like this concept because it keeps the articles inside the community (instead of having an external webzine outside of the forums), so it is easier to comment the news and start debates.

I'm also planning to make some sort of encyclopedia system with biographies, lyrics, and maybe pictures and videos. (we are also doing this on another website)

But as Solidaridad said, i think it would be better to wait until we have a bigger community so we can get more contribution and be sure that the project will work.

But it's a good thing that you started this thread, so we can discuss about how the webzine will look like and who wants go get involved.

Oh and also, what about the webzine language ?

This forum is international, but i doubt a multi-lingual webzine would be a good idea for an anarcho-punk forum (especially if we make a "daily news" webzine)... Most of the languages except english would have almost no articles posted, so no readers..... And seeing that the international forums are not very active, it would be better to keep the interessing non-english posts in their respective language-specific forum (so it helps to start debates)

So I think the best thing would be to make an english-only webzine.... And I'm sure some peoples could post local news and translate them to english, so it would help to spread the message at an international level...

Another thing we could do is also make a team of interviewers and make our own anarcho-punk bands interviews for this website. We could even ask the community what questions they would like to ask to the bands and such...

i like the idea of a radio for this site... it could have music and talk, interviews, etc. could be really cool, i'd be interested in contributing to that.

as far as a zine, i think doing an online zine is the best bet at this time, otherwise money becomes an issue, and honestly, at this time, publications are at an all time low because of the internet. an online zine seems the way to go, it probably would be easier to translate it into different laguages that way also.
