I've been looking at this site for a few days now out of curiosity. I have an involvment in anarcho punk for some 20 years almost, wasn't there in the glory days or anything but have been in a fairly well known band of recent years shall say no more for now but may upload some stuff that isn't here at some point. I've been reading a few posts with interest and thought maybe I should just set up an account taaa
I'll tell ya what mate just for now I am gunna leave you guessing yeah but will drop a few cryptic clues we have a fairly recent CD available through ACTIVE DISTRIBUTION is one clue
so it's: WELCOME ACTIVE SLAUGHTER i guess and you are... too bad for the mystery that i know someone who knows you... and if you had a gig late in 2004 at the poison squat i even saw you... cheers!
I would guess end of september or october 2004 - an night sumhow hard to remember in details but never to forget? WELCOME! and btw: what was the other bands name - I've heard their singer died? edit: stupid me - it was Icons of Filth - and I really wish Stig to rest well.
There were a few gigs at the poison squat, off the top of my head am sure we played there twice around September 2004, though it may just have been the once, do not remember that well for sure any of the bands other than this guy we knew from the sabs and some of them at the poison had a band called 'the fabulous feltchers' and they played a song 'dolphins are shit' hmmmm, am sure Rabies Babies played that night. There was a gig that wasn't technically the poison dept but was nearby we played with Icons of Filth in October, sadly the night Stig died..... The anarchist bookfair aftershow was in October/November and the last one we played at the poison Visions of War played, Terminal City Ricochet and Spanner- everyone seemed to enjoy that gig but a very bad night on a personal level won't go there. I do have some photos somewhere of a few gigs at the Poison, may post here some time. Oh and let's not forget the actual Poison Club in Dalston, now those were some pretty fucking crazy times, not least when Oi Polloi played in 2004 and 2 days later cops moved in en-masse. So yeah cheers thanks for the memories
I guess it was the night with Icons of Filth, mate who was with us knew Stig - but we left London in the morning and hadn't contact for a while after that, so we never knew that he died this night. We were living in Kent, Brentwood area, doing collective farming and London was a rare pleasure then, but my favorite apple was already a bit cheeky sometimes...
