We are a Punk/Hardcore influenced band.. our style could be described as Rise Against meets Avail. Lyrics are about politics, social issues, etc...

We currently have eight songs written and arranged and need a drummer to step in so we can get to playing shows asap. Band members are late twenties to mid-thirties in age… Similar age range is preferred, but if you are dedicated and skilled we could make an exception. Vocalist and guitarist are vegan, bassist is omni.

We are serious musicians with pro gear and attitude. Our lockout is at Bedrock Studios in Echo Park and we have a nice drum kit available for you to use.

Please no drug/alcohol problems… What you do on your own time is your business, but if it affects your playing we will not tolerate it.

You can hear our instrumental tracks at myspace.com/hundredmeterzero or email/msg me and I can send you the mp3 files. Vocalist is the newest addition to the band, and we don't have him recorded yet.

    Thanks!
    Christian

When I say "our style could be described as Rise Against meets Avail" I am referring to the style of music and style of singing, not "lyrical content". Sorry those bands aren't to your liking.

I'll always <3 Avail as I have for the last 14 years.

He didn't say Avail and Rise Against were anarcho, though I know for a fact Avail was at the very least socially conscious (the members MAY have been anarchist, at least at one point...I may be wrong though), anti-capitalist, advocated communal living etc. Avail did have a song called "black and red" but I don't know if that really pertained to anarchism or not. I don't really know anything about Rise Against.

Can't tell people what to be influenced by. Personally, i think it might turn out to be a nice breath of fresh air from all the bands that use the same formulas. If it's anarchist and a form of punk, it's anarcho-punk.

Sounds like an interesting project, coming from someone-me- who's been called (by other people) a "crustie". Too bad i won't be able to check out any shows as I'm about to move to Florida.
