Hi! I am brand new here. I am Marco, from France, 48 years old (someone laughing at the back?). I found the site while searching some info about punk bands on the net, and then deciced to join when I saw how active this site was. Due to my old age, I am proud (yes it's the right term) to have been one of the witnesses of the rise of punk music, seeing, listening and even playing (or trying to play) in some kind of what we can call KBD bands (some were dead before any rehersal...). The most active thing I did in a band was playing guitar in a french anarcho band called Psychanalyse d'Urine. But it was a long time ago. Now, more listener than player, I spend a lot of time learning a lot about anarchy and thinking of my way to understand it, while discovering anarcho punk bands, much more than before. My favorites are (for the moment) Crass, Flux of Pink Indians, Oi Polloi, Conflict, Antisect. I discovered recently A//political and Poison girls and it was really fun. I stop boring you now, and I hope that you won't have too much troubles to understand my poor english words (remember...I am.....French!)
Welcome! Your english is near perfect and we have plenty of french speakers if you get tired of it. Enjoy.
Thank you both, I feel young again. I went to a Youth Brigade show a month ago and not only was I oldest person not on stage but I had distinct memories of some of the songs coming out during my youth.
Hi everyone, I'm 28 years old, and all this time I feel that life is just beginning, so stay young till the end! Fight for your dreams and for the better future for everyone!
lol dude, When i go to backyard shows around here...not only am i obviously the oldest person there (besides the host kid's parents), but all the kids instinctively gravitate towards me for beer runs.
