    Hey there, I'm trying to put together the ultimate collection of Crack Rock Steady stuff. So that's the bands;
    Choking Victim
    Leftover Crack
    INDK
    Morning Glory
    Star Fucking Hipsters
    Stza (acoustic)

If there's any other bands you reckon I should include then let me know.
I've got the basics but I'm looking for any decent videos, pictures and rare recordings/live bootlegs. If you have any could you please send me a link or however you wanna send them. Even if you don't have it but know something exists could you please let me know and I'll try and hunt it down.
I'll probably put this available for download somewhere once I'm done.

P.S. Does anybody know of any decent online ska/skacore communities? Theres doesn't seem to be any...

I can include No Cash as well if people want it. All I think I need is Live at CBGBs...

I've always liked the CRS bands, but their rapid incline of popularity recently, as well as a lot of the people that like them are really a bummer. I found a guys facebook thats pro-war, and leftover crack is his favorite band. I've "known" this kid for a while (and what I mean by that is I've seen him around) and while I have no room to be a punk rock elitest, I don't think he should be recognized in the punk scene.

There's a Leftover Crack and F-Minus split called Baby Jesus Sliced Up In The Manger.

Yeah I've got the Crack Rock Steady 7/F-minus split album. Thanks for reminding me.
I've a loada the Infested as well, do you think I should include it? I was thinkin of maybe just keepin it as the bands that're related to and came out of Choking Victim. But yeah I can include that as well if people think I should. If I'm doing that maybe I should put Beng Beng Cocktail in as well... that's acoustic CRS.
The thing is that if I add these other bands then I'll probably end up going into all the skacore bands and it'll be a never-ending job haha.

Three more to the main "family":
    American Distress
    Public Serpents
Mad Cow Disease (I think there's only one song)

In terms of related bands there was No-Cash and Team Spider that CV/LOC kinda took under their wings. So they are both connected to the core group of bands. Later bands you get that haven't been mentioned yet:
    The Mad Conductor
    The Night Gaunts
    Cannon Law
From the Cradle to the Rave
    Union Jack

In case you can't tell, I love me some crack rock!

Ah yeah, I've heard of American Distress and Public Serpents but haven't got round to listening to em yet. I think I heard that Mad Cow Disease song on Stza's myspace or something...
I've got The Mad Conductor stuff, but that's not really Crack Rock Steady.
Haven't heard them other three and Union Jack is another one I keep meaning to listen to!
    Thanks Rascal!

SurgeryXDisaster's posts here are hilarious...that said I do still enjoy Choking Victim's "No Gods No Managers" on the rare occasions when I'm in the mood for Ska (I'll even go as far as calling it my favorite Ska-anything album), though Crack-Rock Steady fanboyism tends to annoy the shit out of me (no offense to the original poster, and you don's seem anooying at all btw)...especially when kids who know nothing of Crust Punk go around calling CV/LoC/etc Crust. Makes me want to lock them in a room with Doom's "Total Doom", Nausea's "Extinction", and Amebix's "Arise!!" blasting non-stop for a few days.

Haha I'm lucky enough to be able to avoid any fanboys because I live on a shitty island below England. Moving to England this summer though... but I don't think Crack Rock Steady is any popular there compared to America...?
I dunno. Generally I don't really give a shit what other people think, if I like something, I like it. If others do or don't I don't care haha. One of my mates will stop liking something if they become "too popular" haha it's ridiculous, I tell him he shouldn't care what others think.

I think Stza is a fucking genious! Also, the bands that evolved from Choking Victim are pretty much the only "Punk" bands thats actually have balls nowadays. There aren't many other bands I could think of that would try to release an album called Shoot The Kids At School. Who else would've thought of mixing Ska and Punk with Death Metal and Crust, ya know?

THE CRACK ROCK STEADY BEAT DRUMS ON!

I really don't see why people even think there's any Crust in any of the Crack Rocksteady bands sound...occasionally they do have extreme Metal moments, but I've never heard anything Crusty sounding from any of those bands (especially with the super clean production)

My friend smoked a dusted joint with Stza in Tompkins square park
He said that he acted like a self righteous prick with a rock star attitude

    :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I do listen to their music every now and again and I so enjoy some of their stuff
but people act like they're the most original band ever which is kinda sad

Listen to the first 40 seconds of this video
"these people make corporations look like boy scouts"
