Hey, I'm curios about what kind of left-wing movements and organizations you have in your country. Are they big or small? do they hold any influence? all that kind of stuff

well, it would be a stretch to describe them/us as left-wing, but one thing that's unique to australia is the "feral" subculture. it is comparable to the traveller community in europe, but different. "ferals" are generally nomadic, and spend by far most of their lives at blockades, protests and such. they are somewhat like militant hippies, and most people would confuse them as hippies to look at. the musical tastes of the subculture are quite varied, and based more on politics than musical style. doof doof or rave music was pretty huge for them/us in the 90s, but folk and hardcore punk are a big drawcard as well. at one stage, i would have easily been labelled a feral myself. the word is also used as an insult here.

personally, I don't connect myself with one country, but in any case, in country where I grew up, groups are small and anarchists still need to change themselves, I call them "hobby anarchists". there are just 1-2 who are not hobby than serious.
