since you're from indonesia, close to where i live, i probably should mention that "oi oi oi" is the aussie equivalent of "seig heil". i know it's not the case elsewhere in the world, but i had to look at your post to see whether you were a complete nazi fuck-up, and thought you might know better.

luckily, despite being part of the old "coalition of the willing", no one cares what people on my island really think, as long as our corporations and government gives there's the uranium for their bombs.

don't worry, i'm not aiming this at you, just your post title.

Refering to oi, oi, oi. Here in what they called "Germany" it´s a little bit different, We really have antifascist oi bands and in the music section you find bands like Loikaemie and Freiboiter (itś ab little bit stupid that they even have this funny oi in their names). These bands even play with well known anarchist bands like e.g. Brigada Flores Magon but for me they but they really have nothing more to do with anarchism. Because of that I was wandering why they were uploaded in the inter"national" anarcho music forum.

For me even this antifascist oi is a little bit primitive (drinking, tough guys) but you find a lot of skinheads here (right wings are boneheads for me) that like this oi band. But itś very difficult, if you know that there are a lot so called unpolitical oi bands, and this bands are indeed open to right wings.

i'm aware of that. we have SHARPS and non-fascist skins here too. i was talking "local". if i introduced myself to an "anarcho" board based in oz by writing "seig heil" i'd get the same response as i gave probably. or not. coz oz is full of fucking posers who wouldn't know linguistics from libido.

    Woah, this is really weird!

But it looks like words have different interpretention depending on where you live, even in the punk/skin/anarchist scenes!

I have recently learnt that in english "chaos" is the same thing as "anarchism"
in french, "chaos" is mindless destruction without any form of organization, it's the thing the media are referring to when they talk about a messed up situation. In french, it has nothing to do with anarchism.

nope. universally, in english "chaos" and "anarchy" aren't dissimilar, but "chaos" and "anarchism" are. the "oi oi oi" thing isn't universal, but local. some ANTIFA skins still say that "oi" crap here, but they're a minority even amongst their peers. mostly because their peers (non-fascist skins) are actually intelligent, culturally sensitive people. a lot of "chaos punx" (or "street punx") still do the "oi oi oi" singalongs, but that's because they're fuckwits.

people who say "oi oi oi" remind most oz politico punx of jocks bashing pakistanis or indians over something as trivial as cricket, or lebanese over the price of a souvlaki.

i know what it means elsewhere. over here, say that shit, you may as well have a nazi swastika (not a real indian traditional one, see how backwards culture is?) tattooed on your forehead.

tourists beware. or we'll send you to tasmania and feed you to the devils.
