Oooh, there seems to be to a beef with Profane Existance. Better make sure this is ok to be on here. From the sound of things, PE's motto should be : "Making punk a business again" Cool band though.
I'm not seeing it on their site, but that doesn't necessarily mean it isn't one of theirs. if you guys feel like you have to, go ahead and pull it.
Mouth Sewn Shut does have an album on PE (Doomed Future Today), but this particular one was put out by Rodent Popsicle, not PE. PE has a discography page If you want to have a reference so we don't get chewed out: http://www.profaneexistence.org/records/discography
I still don't think its right to call all PE bands sellouts, at least the earlier releases. the majority of these bands have only had one or two records put out by PE
why is it even a big deal it's a free download anyway. As if downloading is contributing to that site
It's only a big deal if it is a PE release, I could give a fuck less about PE distribution, also if the band gives us permission then it's a go whether or not it's PE. This has nothing to do with who is or isn't a sell out, its the policy that APN has for uploads, if a band or a label wants their catalogue deleted then we oblige. I knew this was Rodent Popsicle so it stays, unless Mouth Sewn Shut says otherwise.
Dan has gotten pissed about it before and asked us to remove certain albums It's a problem to him because its NOT contributing to PE And no bands should not be considered sellouts just for being on PE
dude thats hilarious ,dan just wants to profit and likes ripping off bands such as witch hunt but ive heard also labels such as tent city also collect profits from albums that the bands see nothing from , why cant we all just share ???? lol
The bands aren't sellouts. I don't see the problem with it being on here free. Hell if you like an album you DL enough, you'll (in my case anyway) end up buying the actual release anyway. I just think getting the music out to people should outweigh making a buck off of it. Moshpit Tragedy has the right idea.
Jack, no one is trying to prove otherwise. It's Dan Profane (Seen above) that has a problem with free music
