Sorry for using a CNN article, there were no other ones that I could find that went in too deeply on the subject.
With that out of the way, what do you think? I imagine general consensus on the forum will be unsupportive of the measures, but it still brings up a good debate point. I mean with body scanners, pat downs and the US government making up false charges against Julian Assange how long do you think it will before people say enough? Or do you think they ever will?
Also, I tried searching for this in the forums and nothing came up. If I am wrong I apologize for restarting an open topic.
    Peace be with you.

"Participating stores, eventually including 588 from 27 states, will play a short video message at select checkout locations to remind shoppers to contact local law enforcement to report suspicious activity, said a DHS statement."

Translation: "Call the cops if you see any brown-skinned people buying fertilizer."

    Not shocked.

..You know these people, they go to bed thinking everything's fine, everything's good... they wake up the next day and they're on fire.

    Body massage machine.

But really this shit is ridiculous. I can see a lot of mountains being made out of mole hills. I wonder if people will call the cops because someone is dressed like a punk, or looks like an anarchist.

I highly doubt it will start with the punks. It will probably start with the Mexicans [to check if they are legal of course!], move into anyone buying household chemicals that could possibly made into a bomb [which is everything], then to the Arabs to make sure they are "American enough" and THEN to the punks. Also can I say I love your name? Not for any particular reason it just sounds awesome.
    Peace be with you.

    BODY MASSAGE MACHINE GO!

So I'm not exactly sure what to say about this yet. I guess all I can do about this is laugh. And maybe report ridiculous fictional happenings more...

I don't think Mexicans have anything to worry about in the states, but that's another matter. As far as Wal-Mart goes, we could have about 50 pages on this topic on how terrible they are for our country. But the fact is PEOPLE ARE BEYOND STUPID. They will continue to shop there because for most areas in America, that is the only place where they can afford everything.

If you don't know how bad Wal-Mart is for humans, watch "Wal-Mart : The High Cost of Low Prices

yep people are pretty dumb for the most part. they go to walmart because it's cheap and they don't think about the consequences of their consumerism....as the movie title suggests. i watched another walmart film...don't remember the name...of a group of walmart employees who unionized...kinda interesting.

honestly, this is the problem with most consumerism...it goes beyond walmart (though walmart is the biggest one). the question is how do we create an alternative to mass consumerism that many people will accept....and then i wonder if that's even possible with this species and it makes me depressed.

Yeah, sad thing is a lot of people can't afford much else. They're contributing to their own demise, but they really have no other alternative. It's quite sad really.

uggh, i know! i heard about this! that is sick. neighbor against neighbor. people must be idiots to not think we are in a police state.

and then today when i was in pasadena i seen a truck drive by with a confederate and american flag. it's digusting to boast such iconography.
anyways, here are sites that i get for "alternative" media.

    they are pretty good.

    http://www.propublica.org/
    http://www.prisonplanet.com/
    http://www.raisethefist.com/

also here is a realllllyyyy good link on jesse ventura's show. it's an episode on the police state we are in now. it was pulled off air after recieveing much "government pressure."

    watch it and please repost.

Don't forget democracynow.org, for a really neutral, not extreme left view (no offense, I am anarchist, but sometimes anarchist sites can lie, I prefer it neutral)
