The album - only released on cd- sold out, hence we'd make it available again. The second album "breaking bars and crushing codes" was released on cd/lp in 2007, and the band are currently working on getting a new lp together, recordings in 2011.
The sound evolved from more raw and simple on this one into what's been called "a less technical version of inner terrestrials"...

    The Usual Suspects Biography

Anarcho ska-dub-reggae-punk band from Leuven, Flemish Region, Belgium. Active between 2001 and 2013.
Do not confuse with French punk band [a1670518].
    ---

There are several bands with the name The Usual Suspects.

    01.
The Usual Suspects is the name of a ska/punk/dub band from Leuven, Belgium.
"The Usual Suspects played their first show in December 2001. All members, also active in the Leuven squat scene, listen to different kinds of music and that’s where the mix they make comes from. Apparently, people liked it ‘cos requests to play came in and the band went on from there. After having done some gigs in Switzerland and on the shores of France and Holland, the first album, Hasta la vista Commandante, was released in 2002 and was a mix of Suspects –songs, partial covers and nicked bits of songs by other bands. Musical Piracy it’s called. Wicked. The second release, the Classwars EP, on Filth Ear Records was a split with Agathocles, a Belgian grindcoreband and record holder in the Olympic discipline of releasing split albums. After this, The Usual Suspects toured and played a vast number of gigs across Europe and the Uk. Numerous party’s, bars and squat festivals were the scenery of yet another ska-dub-reggea-punkgig. In the meanwhile another album was recorded in November 2006 and released in December 2007. The little scoundrel was baptised in anarchy under the name of: Breaking Bars and Crushing Codes. A new album and quiet a different sound then the first one. No covers (well ok, just the one) and a sound that’s more mature then it used to be. I know other band members will not agree with me here, but I’ll take the risk and state that cheese gets better once a bit older as well. This baby was co-released by Maloka records from Dijon and will be out on vinyl as well somewhere in the beginning of 2008. For now, that’s it. The Usual Suspects hope to meet you soon, somewhere out there. For some tunes, a cold one, a chat, some laughs, whatever. Take care."

    02.
The Usual Suspects is an electronic duo from Vänersborg, Sweden. They mix 8-bit sounds with the sound of eurodisco from the mid 90's, swing drums from the 40's and sometimes breakbeats and drum n bass. They mix up everything into a burning inferno of electronic noise sometimes.
They released their first 2 EP's "Patrik at the Disco" and "We Are True to Disco" in 2006 and their full-lenght album "Syntax Terror" in 2007 on indie-label Flearman Records.

    03.
The Usual Suspects is a 60's Californian Country Rock band from Stockholm, Sweden.

For the sake of the song, as Townes Van Zandt sang. The love of countryrock from the 1960's brought this band together to celebrate the true innovators of an otherwise relatively conservative genre. As the 60's saw a social revolution in many ways, the times were also changing the sound of countrymusic. From California came Buck Owens & The Buckaroos, Merle Haggard, Red Simpson and later on Gram Parsons and The Flying Burrito Brothers. From Tennessee hailed Area Code 615 and Barefoot Jerry. The music reflected it's time and was fueled by the energy of rock'n'roll. A rawer sound was a reaction against the slickly produced ”Nashville Sound”.
