    Hi everbody,

    or

Brothers and Sisters, (as SubComandante Marcos would say)

I am a 19-years old Dutchman, an immigrant Dutchman...but Dutchman, and well I was always interested in leftist politics. So I became a communist, a marxist-Leninist when was about 16 years old. I completely indoctrinated myself with lies from fellow Communists who I met with a Communist youth movement. Lies which I used to justify or relativate the crimes committed in the Soviet Union et cetera. Che Guevara was my idol.
He still is.... for his struggle against capitalist imperialism.

But then I began to notice that I had some different views on issues such as the FARC, North Korea and China - causing me to collide with the other communists. Eventually, I decided together with the Communists that my views were too different from theirs - especially because I openly mocked their Lenin-worshipping and their Marx-worshipping.

I didn't regret leaving the Communists, I rejected Marx and Lenin and even Trotsky anyway. I felt like I was lost... not belonging to any ideology or philosophy. Then I found the Zapatista Army of National Liberation. I began to read the books from its spokesperson, Subcomandante Insurgente Marcos. Their humble and simple words inspired me greatly. In stead of trying to find a suitable ideology to handle the power, I became convinced that the power in itself should be overthrown. I rejected vanguardism, and I began to feel that (left wing) anarchism suits me much better than communism. Especially because anarchism recognizes, contrary to communism, that the struggle between rich and poor is not the only struggle; there are numerous struggles going on, between dominant and less dominant cultures, between races, sexes and so on. Communists try to squeeze everything into their ''class struggle'' model, which exists soley of capitalists and ''proletarians''.

Anyway, furthermore I am not religious (I know a very funny quote from Bakunin about religion), I am against the US politics, I do not recognize Israel and I am in solidarity with the Palestinians, I have sympathy for the Sea Shephard and other eco-activism....

Ehmm, since last summer I am involved with the founding of an underground local anarchist group, in a reaction to the electoral victory of a neo-fascist/racist party here in Holland...

Oh and I am studying history at university of Utrecht, and I am specializing in totalitarianism and Russian culture..

My favorite music genres are Alternative Rock, metal, punk rock, post-hardcore et cetera

    Favorite bands:
My Chemical Romance (don't hit me)
    The Used
    Disturbed
    Bullet for my Valentine
    Anti-flag
    Rage Against the Machine
    Rise Against
30 Seconds to Mars (don't shoot me)
    Papa Roach
    Billy Talent
panic at the Disco (that one is a bit different from the rest, I know)
    Goodnight Nurse
    Good Charlotte
    Nickelback
    ...

    Ehmm....

The things that I hate most... racists, people who discriminate gays (where I grew up, homosexuality has become so normal, that I really get angry about gay discrimination), I really hate those filthy capitalist (&^%$ who exploit poverty in the 3rd world for their own profits, I hate consumerism (now that pisses me off) - oh and I hate those ignorant idiots who say to me '''oh..huh..but if ur an anarchist, then you are more capitalist than anyone else...'' -____-''

I like Icehockey, soccer that stuff...

Oh and I have one problem:

When charity workers on a boat to Gaza were killed by Israeli's, I literally exploded in anger. I made myself the promise: If I have to see or hear any more news about Israeli's killing innocent Palestinians, I will personally get the first plane to Jeruzalem to personally <insert fantasy here> president Netanyahu.

Of course... I think I will have to break that promise.

I hope to have informed you well about who I am :)

    Hi.

Thanks for you compliments. Although I pretty enjoy my horrible music taste (guilty pleassure :p )

There is an ''official'' list which say what our top universities are.

That list says that the University of Groningen is the best (Groningen happens to be the the region in Holland with the most leftist electorate)
The University of Amsterdam comes second, also a leftist bulwark. The Uni of Utrecht is third. The best university of technology is the university of technology in Delft.
