would i be correct to assume that you eat animals? it would certainly explain why you appear to really have no idea why some of us see it as a problem.

to you, as an anthropecentric being. if you cared enough to know anything about nature, youd realise animals and plants are key to human existence.

One hypothesis on why we call cops/bobbies/fuzz/rozzers pigs is shown below. however, this has never been corroborated.

I suppose that it is people's views on what was lowly, disgusting or derogatory. (And when I say people, I certainly do not mean everyone).
The police were probably called pigs - as pigs were deemed to be disgusting, wallowing around in shit all day etc
It is probably humankind's demeaning nature (to call someone a dog, cur, mongrel), to arrogantly assume that human being intelligence is superior to canine intelligence and therefore by calling someone a dog is to humiliate them.
Similar I suppose to call someone an ugly cow, stupid bitch etc.
Likening police to pigs is demeaning the cop but also demeaning to the pig, if you assume that the pig is superior to the cop in the first place.

you need to do some research before you comment on this issue.
"People go hungry because much of arable land is used to grow feed grain for animals rather than people. In the US, 157 million tons of cereals, legumes and vegetable protein – all suitable for human consumption – is fed to livestock to produce just 28 million tons of animal protein in the form of meat.

In developing countries, using land to create an artificial food chain has resulted in misery for hundreds of millions of people. An acre of cereal produces five times more protein than an acre used for meat production; legumes such as beans, peas and lentils can produce 10 times more protein and, in the case of soya, 30 times more."

Someone explain to me how liberating animals is going to help overthrow governments. Also If we do ever get to a point of anarchism, and I still choose to eat meat, are you going to try and stop me from doing it? physically?

    um, its NOT politics!
you just dont get it do you? its no surprise tho, eating animals and the chemicals in the meat often does something to human brain cells. you are a fine example with your pathetic attempt at justifying your selfish actions.

ha ha ha so, youre saying you feel compassion, could be vegan, but because you think a vegan you know is an asshole, you wont do it? thats one of the best cop-outs animal eaters come up with.
if you REALLY feel compassion, you will become vegan, regardless of how you feel about any other vegan.

So thousands of generations of humans were acting against their nature? As far as I know we evolved from meat eating monkeys, and as far as I know, noone ever discovered a tribe of human species that was herbivorous. Never heard of anyone talking that humans are natural herbivores either, but that may be only the limit of my knowledge. As for the health issue, 8 years is biologically too short period to determine is it good or bad for you. And even if it was more, that may be up to your individual health. To say that meat is bad for health, is overstatement, taking into account so many people who lived very long and healthy lives eating meat. Of course, its all the matter of measure. Too much meat is bad. But we don't really know if too little meat is bad too. We would need someone monitoring a large group of vegans (that are vegans from their birth too) for at least few generations to know for sure. And I believe someone from meat industry would get involved and screw the results anyway, so we can't really tell which side is right by strict scientific methods. Tradition still goes in favor of meat eaters tho.

I intentionally mentioned worms, that are by my knowledge first sentient species. And the ability to feel (the emotions) is not fully understood by science... there are theories that plants have "feelings" too. And even if they don't, I have to ask the same question again, where is the line? Evolution is continuous process, and there is no way to find one specie and say "Ok this one is conscious enough not to be eaten, but all the more primitive ones are too stupid to care". It is actually the same speciesist behavior that you are against. I deeply respect life, but killing things is a part of it. And I would feel like a hypocrite if I would only kill certain species just because other species are more evolved.

It makes a lot difference to the animal that wont be killed because I used more meat of the less fortunate one. Less meat thrown away = less animals killed.
I agree. None of us is a saint. Very few people are able to live by the strict moral code. I wont judge anyone however. If you are a good person trying to make a positive change in this world I will consider you a friend (not caring if you are anarchist or not). Actually I think it's best that we agree that we cannot agree. I know I won't change your views on veganism (and I don't even have that intention, if it truly makes you feel better, no reason to change your diet), and I said already I would feel like a hypocrite if I would eat plants, but not animals. And we have a common goal of reducing the suffering of animals.(amongst other goals) So better to focus on our common enemy, than to invest our energy in arguing.

P.S. Would it be ok then to use names of plants as parts of insults? "You stupid birch!" "You fucking palm tree!" "You dirty grass!" :p

It's not that pigs aren't here to read what I'm writing, I don't use terms like the examples you give because those people COULD read it or hear about it later and get offended. Pigs lack even the ability to BE offended. If I walked up to a pig and called it a stupid fucker, it would roll around happily in mud exactly as if I'd never been there.

My question is, what is the endgame for animal liberation? Once no one will eat their meat, eggs or milk, what do we do with all the cows, pigs, hens etc.? You realize that for the most part they can't survive in the wild, right? Would you take care of them forever?

you could apply this to anything, is a bad argument.
it doesnt matter if you, or anyone thinks its "natural" for humans to eat meat. what matters is the suffering of animals and humans, the waste and the dtriment to YOUR environment.
eating animals is so stupid, it makes no sense , and to think so called anarchists think its ok?
capitalism thrives on the meat and dairy and animal testing industries.
is it anarchist to eat animals? obviously not.

are you being serious with that question? youve got to be fuckin joking, right?
i suspect you are not joking, so i have no choice but to educate you, and, by now fault of myself, make you look stupid.
animals are bred to be eaten, (this is birds and bees stuff, fuck, i hope to fuck youre gay or youre gonna be popping out sprogs willy nilly!) so, if animals are no longer going to be eaten...guess what??? humans wont make them breed! i cant believe i just came up with that answer, its been bothering animal eaters for decades ha ha

are you just gonna keep coming up with questions without responding to questions aimed at you?

yeah, id go to the jungle and physically try to stop a tiger eating a zebra......... that was a joke by the way.
all this questions are doing very little to deflect your guilt on this subject, nice try, but ive seen/heard it 1000 times before :)

Ok, I said that I support your cause, that I have different view, and that I won't argue, so here is a nice friendly advice: That elitism needs to go. It is not anarchistic to impose your views on others. It is about spreading conscience and people making free-willed decisions. And whole "Your arguments are bad, you are not anarchist, what you do is stupid" story makes me sick.

    here's the deal.
humans eat meat 'naturally' this is totally undeniable, its raw anthropological fact, we evolved eating meat, we'll continue to eat it. the social aspects of hunting were actually a huge aid in our evolution to larger brains.
we had a diet for quite a long time, composed of roughly 80% gathered food and 20% hunted meat for most of our time as humans, varying geographically. this changed drastically when we discovered agriculture and domestication. now we had food (if we were rich) of any kind we wanted at basically any time. fast forward and the practices used in modern agriculture and factory forming are destroying our biosphere at an unprecedented pace. they've also entirely depleted the connection between us and our energy source, destroying intra-species empathy and further establishing hierarchy of man over nature. so what to do?
tear it down, thats what, you filthy whores.
not by being vegan, not by sitting on forums, debating. by getting up and literally tearing it down, along with every other monument to hierarchy. release the animals, of course some of them will die immediately, but a lot of them won't.
more importantly, release ourselves from the thought process that allows for the false notion of human superiority over animals.
