You don't condone spousel abuse, yet you ask if its ok to hit woman, and since you say it is, then YOU SUPPORT SPOUSAL ABUSE, i mean hey if you ever piss her off and she hits you, you'd hall off and punch her right?? Big man you are. So if a child hits you, you gunna hit them? Treat them like a "man"? make them "equal" to you? I asked if you support child abuse because Thats how moronic the question on hitting woman is to me and how ever you justify your feelings on the matter.

If you cant seriously deal with how woman act, then thats your problem, but if i were to ever see you hit a girl, for whatever reason, id bust your whole jaw off.

Sure woman can get out of hand, the examples you listed are good ones, but that still and never will justify hitting them.

Now, if you said "so this girl was shooting a shotgun at me..." and had a story, then, yea maybe... thats different, but other than EXTREME cases like this... no way

 

It IS sexist to believe women should be treated different in violent situations because they are "weaker" or incapable of defending themselves. There isn't really any way around that. This doesn't mean smacking around someone who put their love and trust in you is ok, THAT is the problem with spousal abuse, not them having a vagina, it would be just as bad if a gay guy smacked around his boyfriend. I have known plenty of girls who are fully capable of defending themselves against a man, and plenty of men who if you where to punch, you would feel like you have just ripped a baby bunnies head off. By saying you would not hit a women BECAUSE she is a women you are defending the sexist ideals against said women. HOWEVER, I can't stress enough on the "evils" of physically or emotionally hurting someone who has put their love and trust in you, female, or male.

Btw, did you know the term 'idiot' was used to define someone with a very severe intellectual disability? Some people would find that offensive using that word as an derogatory term.

It was back in the early 19th/20th century, from what I remember anyways. Yeah I remember when spastic started to be pretty frowned upon. Brother had to go to a specialist place that used the word Spastic in their name. After a few moths of controversy, it was then named something completely different. Forgot what they had changed it to...

Edit: I just realized my post implies that I am from the 19th/early 20th century. Though it would be pretty awesome if I was immortal and had been through those times, I meant from when I did reading on the term.

I didn't say that during that time period was when it was born, did I? I was stating that it had that history and during that time it was used that way. The term fag was once used for a 'bundle of sticks' which has then evolved quite a bit over time, gathering a few meanings. Does that mean I can start calling people fags because its original meanings isn't the same as its later meanings?

We are living with two girls who were victimized by their fathers violence for years, always nicely covered up by middleclass smokescreens, again: for years... their torturer is now in psychiatry and their mother too - blaming the girls for provoking the crimes against them and destroying the family idyll - huh!

I think one of the major problems in society today, is that "how to act properly" has become rules, that all should follow, and when someone steps behind that, people don't look at their situation - what makes them act that way?

A lot of violence could be prevented if we remember that the idiots sometimes act that way for certain reasons... Not that we should accept it blindly, but the balance is a paper thin line. Like girls being taught weakness by society.
