Found this site looking up crust punk bands... happy i found it looks like a great forum... 16 year old coming straight out of long island... I can honestly say i like my life... im in a nice middle class home... i have some conditions that lead to depression... but honestly theres nothing to be depressed about... i dont look for things to get depressed about... i swear people have to appreciate what they have too!

I'm an atheist... or agnostic... i guess im agnostic but i dont subscribe to some mainstream religion... im not sure if theres a god and its not really something i find important to ponder about... i have no really punk friends around here... even though i dont know about the scene in long island... (i hope to maybe find out about a punk scene in long island)... but, i do know i love punk rock... i actually started listening to punk a while after finding out what anarchy really meant... which led me to punk...

A few of my favorite bands (i like a lot but these are my favorites) : Black Flag, Dead Kennedys, Crass, Beastie Boys, Bad Brains, DOA, Pennywise, NOFX, Doom, Behind Enemy Lines, Aus Rotten, and Gism...

I'm looking foward to learning things, discussing things, and maybe even finding some people in long island... \m/

    'sup Strong Island :)

From what i remember there was a ton of punk and hardcore in LI. I grew up in NJ and all of our bands played the same shows together. Just keep your eyes open.

Doom is personally my favorite band. If you're into that you'll probably like Hiatus (close enough to Doom that the singer has filled in for them) and Disrupt (my OTHER favorite band...and most other peoples too so you've probably heard them). Massgrave and Mutiny from Canada are bomb too. Another band to check out if you're into Doom is Sore Throat (some members from Doom, some songs were noise/grindcore other songs were Doom-style crustcore).

Yeah, I know. What can you do? Though I don't remember Ratos being bad (just not memorable) and old OLD Misfits still has a warm squishy place in my heart. Actually i could listen to some GBH or Damned if I were in the mood.
