Was going to respond to a post by Kaos-82 in the exploited thread but tis locked. Anyway, it is misleading to refer to all white people as Caucasian. Caucasian people come from the Cacasus region which includes parts of Georgia, Armenia and other parts of that region. They were identified (by outdated racist science, like measuring the skull and whatnot) as being the 'ideal' white people. Hence, it follows that referring to myself as Caucasian, when it would be better to say anglo-saxon, implies that I'm part of this 'best' race around, little wonder its found common usage by racist institutions.

Race is a little bit more complicated than that. Shared genetic heritage has a whole hell of a lot of effect on people's lives, and having the language to discuss that is crucial from a scientific standpoint. And as for the cultural aspects, well try telling a black man in East Texas that race doesn't exist. We may ideally wish to live in a post-racial world, but saying that we do doesn't make it so.
All humans DNA are 99.99% the same Till this day "race" is based on what? skin color. Superficial things like the amount of melanin in the skin is not enough reason for me to draw dividing lines. People, especially in america, will probably never understand this or will refuse to
