ok im surfing through youtube because its been a slow day and i find this vid "class war" (original name right?) and around 00:29 i see this pic of this massive barrier...from what i can see of the mans head it looks like military set up possibly bolshevik but not the point..it gave me a idea of why cant we do that? load up a truck full of sand bags and start putting up stuff. being a protest newbie i dont know if this is fiesable or not, i whould assume they whould block off roads or something. but still it whould help people hold the line a lot better. possibly put it on the roads infront of the police station slow there response down if they call for backup...wich they whould most likely allready be there...ok i need to stop im rambleing :lmao:

that's why I always recommend a more flexible kind of sports:

    fixed it, thanx,

as I said, they don't like construction work, we were outflanked (lots of space all around and choppers), this is only the late aftermath

this one is a few hours later, they were caught between their own gas and lots of people waiting in the woods...

clausewitz wrote "never loose initiative or superiority of numbers", guess he was right...

in montreal we got crafty and raided a construction site and ripped down a bunch of building materials and made a nice little wall. the thing is. the cops just make a big line and storm it with alot of force with the help of sheilds, beating sticks, horses and enough pepper spray to make all of canada go blind for a few days. i lookd around for a video but have seemd to not have much luck. maybe im just lazy....they work for a bit. but in the long run barriers are just big targets for cops to crash into

    taking clausewitz' principle:
building a barrier or barricade and trying to defend it gives the cops an object they can attack.
you give up the initative in the engagement and they take it over, as you said by any means avaliable.
they can take on the barricade frontal or outflank you, using sidestreets to get into your flanks or the back.
superior equipent and means of transport like choppers or APC's gives them superior strenght/power to break through in any way they choose to.
our main advantage are superior numbers, and to use them we need to keep the initiative - attack them, before they...

im not saying build it and stand around just put them up to slow them down and have lookouts conceled so they can radio in once they get past it and have your tried getting past a sandbag wall? not easy...maybe i shouldent of put that "and hold the line" part in there or explain it in a different way and its better than my more offensive ideas

i was just in kahnawake (native reserve) the other day. and they guy just got a box of kick ass smoke bombs. he said u pull the pin and throw and it pisses out smoke for about 20 minuits. i was think how usefull that would be for a protest. throw a few at a fat cop line and there would be a few moments of confusion and madness. enough time to pretty much do anything. or it would be usefull to get un caught. at protests they alwase gather people up into big groupes and surround them till they are arrested one by one. just drop the bomb right at the cop lines feet and get ready to run as soon as they break ranks. i gott remember to buy a few smoke bombs for next protest i go to for sure

so you've been with the Mohawks rude-boy - I remember their use of barricades in the Oka struggle, around 1990? one cop was killed during a serious firefight at the reservation border and the defenders stood their ground, but later the canadian army moved in and the Mohawks were wise enough to retreat, instead of risking useless fighting - ol' clausewitz' third principle: superior firepower, always try to get out of the line if you are on the inferior side...

smoke grenades are great for slowing down the advance of closed formations or covering a retreat, but I guess at close quarters the effect is disadvantageous for both sides - no side is able to keep the necessary overview.
in germoney the cops will crucify you if you are caught with "weaponry" of this kind and they really enjoy to display "arsenals of dangerous tools" to justify their warlike toys - so be careful with stuff like that unless the fighting gets really serious and/or you still can get away with it, I think its a good thing to organize in groups and act accordingly - protecting each other against pincher attacks.

yes, chaos-ad, I took it from the "and hold the line"-point of view, but you already knew about the risks, so it's at least a good way to slow them down or give them something to do - wobblynikols photo shows their dislike for creativity...

ya thats why you can only get them on the reserve. the guy said it was smuggled in from the states. i alwase assume anything i buy in kahnawake should not be found once i leave the reserve. you can get some fucking cool stuff though. they have army stores there that make normal army surplus stores look like a joke. bullet proof vests, guns, other weponds, ammo, gear like utility vest gas masks and other what nots. i have had my eye on an extendo bat there. 30$ i want it for my car or somthing.
