The girls did a lot yesterday, cleaning up a great part of ol'leo t.'s mess, they contacted a lawyer and had a meeting with her - there was much to discuss in the evening - but I left in a hurry to join you.
This family drama thing may be getting serious if we decide to support ol'leo's girls - but even today wasn't time to get into the details, my mom showed up and instantly started this baptisising discussion again, so I left with yours favorite wicked witches for the playground...
I accept the critics, think it's obvious that we broke the rules - and so I'm back on kitchen duty, it's not that bad.
Mate and me will start the repairs in the appartment, he really left some permanent revolution damage, we'll need glass for the smashed windows and professional tools for the broken doors but it will serve the cause of the girls if we leave some impression...

have you ever considered to print this (feline) beauty? I'm still in the business and I can send an ear around...
the only problem would be to make a good quality print-template (digital) - and the choice of the fabric.
I've seen some of the artwork you did around - making the digital template will be no problem I think... give a word!

Yes, mr. printer I already think about it and already considered to contact you too, it's been some time...
The sewer's spec. division still prefers the strict DIY-opportunities, but the "DI" is a bit tricky, but they try hard.
Printing it would have advantages - depending the used ink/colour, I still research the profi-technics to come up with printing as an alternative to DIY.
The girls are really serious about the poser/trophy-aspect, that's why they still prefer to make it "special".
Maybe we would have to ask the Spanish for approval if we print it more than one time?

printing wouldn't be difficult as I said, I know a handfull of firms doing prototype-production or small numbers buisness. I still work in book printing, we couldn't do it, because it needs special equipment and machinery. but to find someone who agrees to do it wouln't be a problem, and I still have the car, if its off town.
asking for approvement of the Spanish? sounds a bit of zealot speech? I don't want to make a business out of it, guess you see it the same way, so where's the problem?

 

No "problem" at all, but it's not just for decoration, the flag has it's meaning - I don't know, but the Spanish may think of us as posers if we do it without approve. In Spain they are growing back to strength and I wonder a bit about the lack of "merchandise" - guess they don't want to do it, because of the flags meaning.
And there's the sewer's special department, Eve really caught fire...

But the prototype-printers sound promising, actually we lack a camera to make digitale pictures in an appropiate quality and I guess the protoprinters would have one if we come up with a good painting or spraying on paper or carton?

 

no promise, its a fact, they have this kind of stuff, I often do photo-jobs with old books, but I guess the optical resolution is not high enough for a picture in the necessary size (5 x 3 feet???). I'll start tomorrow to throw an ear around, I can do it while working and I guess I will find someone who can do it.

standards depend on the general buisness - offset- or bookprinting, textiles... it's hard to say without knowledge, but I'll use enough options to find the right one, guess you think about coming up with a model in the right size?

Yes I am, but I guess it will have to wait until you have the details, but already we have some templates for spraying, it wouldn't take long to make a new one in the right size, the making itself is almost perfect.

There's still enough in the basement, we got a new set of small amps for free, drums could be better, but you would just have to strap on, plug in and tune up...

I am a book-printer, but when I learned the trade wayback in my youth, we did some practica in textilprinting then.
looking at the picture here I got the impression the overlapping colours of the "pieces" couldn't be that easy to sew.
the spanish comrades print theirs, and they look just great flying high over the crowds heads. So I got the idea...
I still know some people in the business, so I guess we can come up with it - if Eve gives up her DIY-option.

I googled a lot and asked people about Spanish flags because we had kind of a black bloc group in the city where I lived before I came here - just to show the tradition of the idea and its "follow up" in our time. but just like everybody else - nothing for me and so the idea slipped back a bit. but I think we can do it ourself, vassil is an ace on the computer and they already came up with spray painting in varying sizes.
The first problem is the quality of the picture, the DPI is a question of the technology used, if we can use professional equipment - and I'm sure there will be a way - the printing itself is just a standard job. Printing flags isn't that common in germony, but it makes no diffrence printing a shirt, the procedure is exactly the same.

oh, I found it on my own because of this Downfall - Get Ready For Action - DL, but I registered because of some of Vassils traces, he's more an anarchist than he's a punk I guess, I'm the opposite and I couln't resist any longer. writing English is a problem around here, I know there are many germans around on the site, but... Vassils is a bit of a zealot too, endlessly preaching the need to expand personal horizont and break out of the self referringness - okay, its just not everybody's thing. But I'm sure there will be a few more registering and taking part - the site is just great.

the option to use the professional flag site, I guess its AK, is also a good one, because we can make the template model Vassil already found a good way to do it, than we take a picture using the high-tech technology of professionals here - and upload the digital file to you.
I was reading about the aspects of the shipping etc - sending just the file through the net wouldn't be a problem, no money, no shipment - isn't that easy? (and I already hear Vassil praising the advantages of mutual organisation...)

just give a word what you think, I'll stay online for half an hour, bit sleepless at night, but I'll take a look before I'm working. if we find out how to do it in the most effective way we can already prepare just in case the DIY-project fails.

 

I was a bit lazy and didn't look after the AK-shops location, I assumed it to be located in Canada, sorry.

my idea was to upload it somewhere, where you can download it and send it to AK - like a "picture"-file of your custom flag, they can upload it in their scanner-/printing-computer and use it to print the flag.

most of the modern professional printing-equipment is computerbased, they store and upload/use digital files and models for the different printing jobs.

we use the same procedure here for book printing, so I guess its no problem for AK too - if they have the equipment.

to find out, I will contact them and ask them how they do it and what kind of file standard is compatible to their equipment.
if you consider to let AK do the printing, we can make the scanner-photo in the right size, DPI and file extension/standard compatible to AK's equipment. So they won't have to do the photo/scanner/scaling themselves.
