Ol' Nikol may be one of my worst looking friends, 'cause of his hairstyle, but he's always reliable and the first to make a stand against the boneheads.
In real life he wears his S.H.A.R.P.-pin with unmatched consequence and I respect him for that, he deserves that pin.

He IS my favorite spitfire and nothing of the stuff that has been written was serious, he and me don't flame people, between him and me it's like an old couple of brawling spitfires on amphetamines.

Whistling that Message To Rudy-tune signals cease fire in our real life, we've enjoyed our little sports for years - yesterday I was just too tired to respond - so don't blame him, and if you do, you'll have to blame me too.

This "enemy at the gate" thing is anti-semitic and melodramatic shit, Zaitsev volunteered to fight the fascists, he never bragged about his 250 kills, we have proof that he wounded one of my grandfathers badly, who was a german soldier on recon-patrol. Zaitsev spared his life and my granpa died three days later in a red army lazarett.
Still feel sorry for grandpa, but I couldn't blame Zaitsev for killing him, grandpa didn't refused to fight for the nazis, so he had to suffer the consequences.
My other granpa did refuse to serve in the wehrmacht and he died 1945 as a prisoner in the concentration camp of Buchenwald. I took his german first name used the russian spelling for my nickname...
Even if Zaitsev was a russian patriot, maybe a stalinist too, I still respect him for his courage and humanity, after he was wounded himself in january 1943 he stepped back in line and tried to evade to be used for propaganda.
