Yeah, seriously. The fourth of july is stupid.
Im going to have fun laughing in the face of stupid, patriotic rednecks.

 

Next to halloween the 4th is the best night for suspicious activity,

no one will even think twice if they hear an explosion in the distance...

 

back in my youth, the 4th was a great night for dropping some lsd and kicking back on hill with a vie wof fireworks all around the city. Almost sounds like a war going on, but ooooh those lights

 

hmm watch fire works on lsd sounds like it could be fun

 

The real lesson of this day lies in the fact that the will of the oppressed can devastate the power of a tyrannical state, and that power can be usurped as well and corrupted into what the US government is today.

 

so i gave in and went with some friends to a fireworks thingy, and they played god awful patriotic music and shit, and i was appalled by how many people cheered after the singing of the national anthem (which i refused to stand for or take my hat off for, and it seemed that the mexicans at the park were the only others who did as i did). It sickens me how many people still think America is the be all end all, and how sheeplike they are towards stupid token symbols of it.

 

we just lit a bunch of fireworks in the street... didnt say happy 4th to anyone.

 

There was a punk fest over the Invasion Day (Australia Day - date that the first fleet arrived in Aus) weekend two years ago. Some ppl organised a 'capture the flag' competition, whoever stole the most Aussie flags over the weekend won prizes, twas great fun. Maybe could work in other places?

Having said that, a number of patriotic yoof went down to da beach to assault non-patriots (ie anyone not white) the same weekend, so maybe we shoulda been bit more on the ball on that one.

 

4th right. rite. excuses.

 

Yeah, celebrating a nation that says it's about freedom and equality, but was founded by slave owners, and still to this day imprisons people for non-violent crime, AND has caused so much bloodshed, and...fuck, I could go on forever. Fuck the USA.
