Idk, some people don't. I'm part of a street 'army', like the Black Block and I engage in this type of action. But only against organized fascist groups and we need to be sure those people are real nazis before we do something like that, y'know? Because the skinhead scene ranges from far left to far right and we have skins in our group.

EDIT: I'm refering to the scene where they attack 2 or 3 skinheads.

I have no issues wit the Black Bloc at all however people need to remember that they are just soo fucking easy to infiltrate on the part of the police.

There is a clip of a protest where there was some sort of Black Bloc presence and about three of them were police officers who tried starting shit so the riot squad would pounce and break it all up...these three were "arrested" and carried off very gently by members of the riot squad and removed from the area when people realised they were actually police officers and demanded that they remove their black face coverings.

I know about the provocateurs that are working for the cops. It's fucking disgusting and the police in Canada, even admited to do that kind of crap...

The Black Bloc is a strategy in which protesters use violence to express themselves. I don't mind if there is a motive behind it, like smashing up McDonald's and banks or Starbucks etc. to express an anti-capitalist message. But I feel that some of the people just use it to mindlessly bash things up. I understand some of them are put there by the cops but I bet some of them aren't and they still do it...Kinda bothers me because it gives us a bad image...

yeah in quebec and canada it happens all the time.... In montebello summit some cops were accused of provocation because they were videotaped with rocks in their hands and making trouble in a peaceful protest, they were trying to get the protesters to be violent so they can arrest them... same thing happenned in summit of americas and numbers of other protests..

a few days ago at the g8/g20, some agent provocateur were seen once again trying to provoke people....

I support it, because unfortunately peaceful protests get zero attention and who doesn't want to light police cruisers on fire.

However, I've been paying attention to all the news coverage of the G20 riots in Tornoto, and there's been zero explanation given to any reason or message behind the rioting. It's all just written off as mindless destruction, and the average person doesn't see the motivation for it besides being a dick and getting away with it.

Exactly right, this is were I can't agree or disagree with the actions that took place at G20. It gave the protest attention, but from the articles I have read on the protest, it was mostly negative attention. The MX (a free train newspaper here in Melbourne) had stuff saying a group of people dressed in black turned up and started destroying stuff without stating a reason. The even had a part saying how they found and arrested a 'known' anarchist' in the sit down protest, they didn't even give a reason for why he was arrested and the wording made it seem like they had arrested a 'known villian'. Unfortunately this kind of action has its draw backs.

of course your not going to hear anythign good or anythign that will give the groupes support when your watch the news! the only way to hear that shit is underground channels and word of mouth. they dont want to give any kind of support to the people busting windows. they want people to think its mindless violant teens looking to bust some windows with a fuck the goverment im an anarchist attitude. from what i have heard most of the buildings busted were banks and star bucks and shit liek that. to me destruction is fine as long as its not privatly owned buisness. leave the ma and pa pizza shop and smash the dunken donuts across the street

i've read a lot of comments on videos of the protests and stuff in toronto, and it's actually pretty pathetic what people are saying. they really do believe it's just a bunch of kids breaking shit for no reason.

ha beat me to the punch i was on my way to say pretty much that. there was one where a guy was bitching about people smashign the hudson bay tradign company window and scaring all the shoppers inside and how thats just runining small buisness. guys a fuckign dumb ass. hudson bay trading comapny is a huge company with stores and invetments all over the world. including the tar sands and since early canadien history has been destroying native homes and land for things like the hydro plants in hudson bay and all the old fur trade and in the modern times with the tar sands. out of all the big buisnesses out there. i smile when i see their stores being broken into and looted and broken.

blackbloc are nessary in many situations. I do see it as a study to be discussed amongst prior to the action. with the required manuals and instruction otherwise it ends up as assuming nonsensical "violence" hahahaa.

Note the picture above of the cops dressed as anarchists. Ive read some articles on that exact setup. It was without a doubt proven they were cops. Someone had actually even found one of them in the police database. There was also a video of some real anarchists confronting them about it, and they didnt respond at all more or less tried to ignore them. Then when a group protesters followed them around and put more heat on them, started asking them questions like "do you think what we are doing is a joke?" the police then exited the scene. The article also brought up how the boots they were wearing were police issued combat boots.

They've done this in England too. Last year at the G20, there were reports of cops dressing as Black Bloc members smashing bank windows. There were cameras and media everywhere surrounding the few so called anarchists doing this. It kind of makes you wonder how the media was just "coincidentally" there from the very start to get great video and pictures of them smashing the windows. Come on real anarchists dont put themselves directly in front of cameras. From the video I saw you could just tell it was completely staged. \m/

i think that it is a group that could potentially help change, creating a loud message is sometimes necessary. though i have to agree that not all of the violence and destruction, i feel, is completely necessary. it could be twisted into the whole, "just smashing for no reason." the message could be ignored if their actions are extreme enough to be used against them. i also recognize that peaceful protest is not always effective. i'm not sure i have a solution to what i think would work, i kind of have mixed feelings.

ya it happend in montreal i think ungov posted the video up top. where a groupe of about 4 or 6 undercover cops were found out. they all whipped out they mini beating sticks and got the fuck out of there. but not before peopel threw rocks and other things at them and kicked them and beat on them a bit. it made me feel so good becasue you couls see on their faces and in their actions just how scared they were. one was even wearing a studded leather jacket and they were dressed in black and were for sure fuckign shit up! i think i am going to watch that vedeo again. it alwase makes me feel happy to see the video just becasue of how truly scared they look. andf at the end when they are in a full out run to the police line and people are chasing them throwing signs and shti at them. it warms my heart :lmao: <3
