Ok, I must agree with ungovrnable. He is giving so many arguments against you (jeuscrust, adam182) but I dont think you should leave this forum or argue.
I think jesuscrust is just trying to protect adam182 form being attacked by all of us. I dont see anything wrong here.
Ungovernable, well, hes can be pain in the ass, as someone said anarchy is poison to him, no its not he just wants something out of it. ok i will edit this all into one post, my take on this whole thing..

Adam182 if he can't take a little ribbing, he needs to climb back into his mother's womb. We were teasing him, not viciously attacking him as JesusChrist was trying to imply, and you know what, you post something about yourself on a forum it is going to stick with people longer then if it is spoken to someone, because it is there for all to see. If the kid is going to run home crying for a little harmless teasing, then how is he going to handle the cops harassing him someday for his anarcho beliefs? (assuming he still has any as he grows up, which many kids don;'t because anarchy is a cool rebellious phase for many teens.) So maybe if nothing else a good ribbing will inspire him to prove us wrong and strengthen his beliefs, or simply weed out a s poser faster and we can all move on.

My take on liking music that is not anarcho is that it is perfectly ok as long as it is not fascist, but you have to be willing to admit you are supporting the evil corporations if you so choose it. I like a lot of non anarcho music, Jazz, Irish, folk, etc, but i have no delusions that it wasn't made for pure profit, as it clearly was. And I don;t go around trying to recruit others into it, and i can admit that while the musicianship is influential, that it was released by major corporations is damaging, and maybe it is hypocritical to like it, but no one is perfect.

and jesuschrist, if you are going to say you are leaving this site forever, then fucking do it. Youare a fucking joke anyways, saying it's not ok to bash president obama. Posting a picture of yourself as an avatar in a a cheesy pose. And the arguement is not that listening to shitty music isn't ok, but that you can't even admit that it is wrong, that you think by simply pirating it you avoid supporting the machine, and you are very wrong.

I NEVER said it was not ok to Bash Obama, I was merely remarking on the whole thing about using people's names as a way to smear their political integrity. Wouldn't matter if it was Obama or anybody else, I was just saying it's a weak unintelligent tactic, typically deployed by the Right-wing. The topic just so happened to be on Obama.

As well as the picture is concerned, how about stop putting emphasis on people's avatars? It's just a thumbnail photo that tags along with people's posts. If I knew it was to be another item to be judged I wouldn't have uploaded anything in the first place.

Ok fine, listening to shitty music is wrong. You all made great points to that, and I understand them perfectly, but is it worth it to rip people that hard for something so minor?

And I was avoiding calling Ungovernable names for the sake of argument, but after I while I got over the debating and was just getting really frustrated so I sunk to that level. I'm not proud of myself for it.

I don't want everything I say to be disputed just because one conversation went sour, similar to like what happened with NGNM.
That was really the main reason I wanted to leave, because if that we're to happen, I'd have no point even staying here anyway.

To me, my signature stands for freedom, but not the freedom to discriminate and cause harm to others. And it's definatly not right-wing. Those whack job tea-parties are trying to push the "free" market into freedom to discriminate against people because of their race, etc. It's like your whole subject on no freedom of speech for nazis. You have your freedom, as long as it doesn't cut into the freedoms of other people.

 

I see it as more autonomic than liberal myself.

 

It's not like I'm going out and buying Starbucks for breakfast and fastfood for lunch everyday, then filling my Hummer with Exxon mobil to drive to my banker job or anything.
Sure, I'll dip into capitalism at times, but it's almost impossible to abstain from it altogether, and I never support the multi-nationals, (well that's not entirely true, I do buy cigarettes).
I wouldn't go as far as calling me a full blown capitalist.
