K Rudd the fuckwit was over thrown today...or lastnight..but whatever. the ALP (Australian Labor Party) is fucked. Next election the right wing fuck head Tony Abbot will be in power. I bet you when that happens, I won't be able to access this website...small little injustice I know, but it's going to be the beginning of many fucked up decisions by this Catholic Capitalist fuckhead.

This is why Australian voters CANNOT allow Tony Abbot into power, that guy would well and truly fuck up this cournty. He wants to raise the legal drinking age to 21, not to mention he is a climate change "Skeptic".

On a side note im totally stoked that we got a female prime minister before america got a female president. Just another reason why we are better :lmao:

We didn't vote her in though, she has single handedly fucked the ALP right up with this stupid political stunt, its inevitable that the coalition is going to win the election now. I'd like to see an aboriginal prime minister, not some bitch puppet. I prefer her over Rudd, but fuck. The mining super tax definitely won't go ahead, and those corporate pigs will continue to rape and exploit this land for all its worth, without paying a fair amount of tax. Its over, I expect all of us to be forced into national service when Abbot the crazy ass monk takes over.

True, although you dont vote for the person in the Australian system, you vote for the party. I mean, at this stage, unless something really drastic happens, im going to vote for the greens in the upcoming elections, purely so i dont get fined.

I think the super profit tax will go ahead though, Im pretty sure Julia Gillard is behind that tax. In all honesty, i think the only reason Abbot is opposed to it is because its the done thing for the opposition party to contradict and oppose everything the leading party does.

Thats what i was thinking...but I haven't enrolled to vote yet, and am going to live by a line from a Propagandhi song "if your dumb enough to vote, your dumb enough to believe them" and just never enroll to vote. lol. I truly believe all political parties in Australia are fucked. Like if the greens miraculously won an election, sure environmentally shit would be sweet, but say goodbye to the health care system and all the other benefits a lot of us rely on too survive. In saying that, I reackon it would be so sic if Bob Brown was PM. Or even whatshisface...Peter Garret! (ahahah PG 4 PM)

And I dunno about that, Julia straight up pulled the pro super tax mining advertisement campaign down, and is requesting the mining industry do the same with their multi million dollar anti super tax advertisement campaign and "open their doors to the government" (ie, pay us billions and this 40% tax spike wont go ahead). Abbot is straightup a capitalist, and is probably tight with those cunts at Rio-Tinto, thats why he's opposed to it.

I think the tax will definitely go ahead, but it just wont be as high as Rudd said it would be. Julia herself said that the people of Australia were entitled to some of the revenue from its mineral recourses.

Peter Garret for Prime minister? EUGH! That man has failed Australia as an environment minister, first with the pulp mills in Tasmania, then with the desalination plant in Melbourne and then with Whaling. There is a reason you dont see him doing media address on TV anymore, its because the is an embarrassment to the Labor party, i dont know why they haven't sacked him yet. I dont think he would get very far as a prime minister.

On and on not enrolling to vote, i heard that a lot of school automatically enroll you to vote, witch means you can be fined if you dont vote. Im not saying you should vote, i dont want to vote myself. But im just saying you should look out, you could be slapped with a fine.

It may be worth noting that you do not have to vote, even if yr enrolled. What you can be fined for is not showing up and getting your name marked off the electoral role. i just hand my ballot in blank thus my vote is not counted. It is what is known as an informal vote. There are a number of ways to ensure yr vote is not counted, basically just fill yr ballot in incorrectly in some way.

On what Comrade Gillard's rise to power means for the upcoming election, i tend to think it will actually work in favour of the left-tory party (ALP), but that's just my opinion. It does however point to the mining tax dieing i reckon. That'll teach KRudd not to fuck with the rich.

Personally i think Gillard is an abhorrent person, the ABCC anyone? If anything this will result in a shift further to the right by the working-families party (ALP), esp. on immigration and no let up in sight for indig mob in the NT (let alone the prospect of extending welfare quarantining across the country). Moar later, with a bit more fact rather than assertions.

Is this kind of politics EVER fun?
Yeah, but that still means you have to get up and go to your local polling place.

And i honestly dont get how you can call her Comrade Gillard, unless you are being Ironic...

Because you do not actually vote for the Prime Minister, instead you vote for a local member of Parliament in the lower house and state-wide Senator in the upper house. It is not like the US presidential vote, where you vote for a person; more like the congress. So basically you vote for a local member in the lower house, who is generally from a party; whichever party (or coalition of parties) has the most members in the lower house become the government; and their leader is the Prime Minister.

Therefore, the party in power choose who will be Prime Minister, although the popularity of this leader usually dictates the outcome of an election, hence Krudd's rhetoric of being 'voted in' by the people, this is not quite true as anyone outside his electorate did not technically vote for or against him at all.

this is true but...when your voting for a political party your usually voting for the ideals or values of the leader...so we practically are voting for the individual prime minister. like when everyone went to vote for the ALP last election, they were mainly voting for the ALP because of Rudd...if you get what I mean, lol.

yeah, for sure, but it was meant as an explanation as to how she became PM without an election.

she's been saying for months she doesn't want to be PM...and then she just pulls the ballot out of her ass and gets everyone in the ALP to vote for her.
